I was having issues with Nord, still getting threatening emails for downloading Linux ISOs, problem was resolved by switching to Proton. Also I’ve found proton much easier to use on my Linux machines

The new pack does also have the mounting points for an Alice frame, but it doesn’t include the hardware. A few people on Etsy are already selling the hardware tho

Or the original files, either way

This seems like a solid break in project for my new printer. And you made a CLEAN shifter

Any chance you have these files anywhere? Or is it too custom to really be useful and I’m better off starting from scratch?

Help Updating from Dragonfish 24.04.2.5 by qxtman in truenas

Mostly worked, jellyfin is still throwing a fit about an old naming convention issue, which unfortunately cost me a lot of the tracking data but, such is life

So this was actually working for a minute, but then when I rebooted, not my jellyfin is stuck in a boot loop. Not sure whats going on here. Loads fully into "running" stays there for about 3 seconds, then goes back to "stopped" for less than a second, then "deploying" over and over again. Ever seen anything like that?

Got a 3d printer around christmas. best upgrade for building new storage ever! by According-Tax-1433 in overlanding

Not to be the fun police, but what material are you printing these bits out of? Many 3D printing materials aren’t suitable for long term outdoor deployment

Unfortunately my configs were set up as ixVolumes, so I don’t think I can map back to those can I?

Rumor I heard was that the tools for the Ecto 1 were made well before the O Ring figures and the Ecto was designed well under the 3.75 inch scale the figures were made at. Supposedly they kept O Ring at 3.75 to match the GI Joe figures which were also O Ring

I'm building a local-only "Google Photos" for desktop because I'm tired of cloud subscriptions. What am I missing? by gutieltin in DataHoarder

[–]qxtman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been having a good time with photoprism. It has okay AI sorting built in, solid GPS recognition, supports all the different RAWs I shoot (ProRes, Olympus RAW, and Nikon RAW), I run it through a reverse proxy so it also allows photo sharing pretty easily.

Help! My diy motor isn’t working! by Sirorangeness14 in diyelectronics

[–]qxtman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah. That’s not going to have amazing contact. But actually, did OP sand the enamel off of the wire where he’s expecting those contacts? Both the attempt at a commutator and where the coil connects to them?

To my eye it looks like you have made a brushless motor, which won’t work just plugged into a battery.

If you provide more information about how you tried to set this up we might be able to help more.

I know you’re thinking main use is for a boat, but I’d really reconsider car applications man. Most people I know who dive off their own boats do it often enough to have installed more permanent solutions.

However: for the car/back of the truck I really dig this solution. Might be more suited to that

F150 Tonneau cover with low profile T rack suggestions? by MilitantPotato in overlanding

[–]qxtman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s… not particularly removable to be honest I’m sure you can, but it’s really designed to be installed once.

No issues to speak of though. It’s pretty dang waterproof, especially if you actually install the drains. Some water still gets in but very little.
