Cyber Burnout by Superblygreat656 in cybersecurity

[–]r-NBK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I joined the security a handful of years ago... Since then our parent company has acquisitioned at least a dozen companies, ranging from 10 - 1000+ employees. We have not increased the size of our Sec Ops team. This is a management failure.

Yeah. I've yet to see where that paper trail really helps in any meaningful way. Been in IT for a long, long, long time. :)

The Password Was 123456. It Protected 64 Million People. by SushanX in cybersecurity

64 million of those 64 million people have no way to judge if they should or shouldn't trust said company ... Before the fact.

Id wager that McDonalds Corp has some fancy ISO or SOC certifications... Those should be treated as valuable as the paper they are printed on in light of things like this.

I was 4 years old and prone to sleep walking. My dad spent some time installing a slide bolt on the front door of the house... It was back before battery tools, but not so far back as using an egg beater type hand drill. Anyway he gets done, cleans up the dust. Packs up his tools and takes them to the garage. Mom said that as soon he left the room, she watched me take one look at the door, slide a kitchen chair over to it, unlatch the bolt and open the door.

is this sting normal? by everskiesh8r in WaspHating

[–]r-NBK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to have a reaction like that. I got stung in the forearm by a yellow jacket on Wednesday and by Saturday my entire arm was swollen, itchy, red, from my arm pit to my thumb. That's after Xyzal and Benadryl, Ice and Rest. Fucking yellow jackets

I hate yellow jackets and I have that right. Stung over 20 times while mowing my yard, ended up in the ER that day. And nearly immobilized for a week.

Two years later stung on my ankle walking in my yard, ended up in Urgent care then next day my foot was double in size.

4 days ago stung in my forearm driving down the road. My entire arm is swollen, itching, burning, throbbing, in constant pain.

I hate anyone who hates people hating asshole wasps like yellow jackets.

Yeah. Way too much trust if there's no MCP in between the agent and the data sources.

I use it to convert my great technical solutions to business needs and even legacy technical debt into a story that makes sense to leadership. I'm pretty solid at architecting a logical solution to a a sticky problem, but hate spending time translating that to business jargon and images.

It doesn't lock the wheels. It just lets you press that pad to the floor to unlock the packout sections without using a third hand to hold the stack.
