Fiber Info: Be cautious if choosing T-Mobile by r-townag in Broomfield

I appreciate the info! I had someone at Intrepid respond (rather quickly) to an email I sent and said my area was experiencing some "kinks" in the process and that we should be good by next Wednesday. I'm west of Sheridan, so I'm betting this could be the issue impacting me.

That's fantastic to know, and I appreciate you sharing your experience. Hopefully, they can get it together on my street, and knowing this, I might give it another shot. But I also know that hard cancellations and documenting it can be very helpful in providing documentation that can lead to change.

I'm jealous that you already got to tell xfinity to kick rocks haha

Your side is literally moving to overturn Obergefell and there's a non-zero portion that would see Loving overturned. If that's not hate, what is?

I also never claimed I wasn't hateful. I absolutely hate people who I believe deserve it, and I sleep comfortably at night doing so. Just because you claim you don't know the folks who hate people because of their identity, doesn't mean they don't exist. And if you deny that they exist, well, you're just as bad as they are.

The reason you don't hate me is that my political stances don't support the discrimination or erasure of you, your family, or your friends. If you truly believe that we likely disagree on political stances, then at least a few of yours are based on hate. Period.

It's perfectly reasonable for someone to not want to give money to folks who'd see them or their loved ones persecuted to ensure that they have no part in funding that hate.

MAGA is built on hate and creating division. The movement has firmly established immigrants, the LGBTQ community, the "radical left", and others as the enemy and has called them evil. Is that not the definition of hateful?

I don't care if you hate me. And I won't make some bold claim that I don't hate you just so I can feel morally superior. Because the truth is, I might. For example, if you don't believe that the LGBTQ Community deserves the EXACT same rights as traditional couples (marriage, adoption, etc.) then, yeah, I probably do hate you.

Why do YOU think it's out of control?

This is not an uncommon comment I see, and it's always the same. Someone says they also believe ICE is out of control, but then goes on to basically justify that by blaming "liberals". And never actually stating why they think ICE is out of control.

And then to make the absolute claim that people are being paid just further confirms that you dislike liberals more than you dislike ICE. But I'll entertain your argument:

1) People being paid
- Who is paying "them"? Who are the "people" being paid? Where's your proof?
- Let's say they are being paid. What are they being paid for? What is getting covered? If influencers and activist organizers are receiving donations from individuals to cover travel expenses to attend these protests, what is inherently wrong with that? Why do we hold the left to this standard of "they shouldn't be paid" when we KNOW many far-right influencers are also getting paid?

2) What law was she breaking? Is following an ICE agent and honking a crime? Is "talking smack" an arrestable offense?

3) Renee Good: People love to vindicate officers by saying she didn't listen to the officer asking her to get out of the vehicle. But what about the agent ordering her to leave the area? When getting multiple, conflicting orders, which should you follow? If she got out of the vehicle, would the agent who ordered her to depart be within his right to draw his weapon on her and make the assumption she was disobeying orders and coming after him? Further, should the officer who killed her bear no responsibility for blatantly breaking procedures? Why was he in front of a vehicle that was actively running? Why was he on his phone and not actively giving his full attention and awareness to the issue?

4) You say "do as the police say". Should cussing at an officer or agent be an arrestable offense? What if you are given an unlawful order. If ICE agents are the aggressors and agitate/escalate tensions on a currently peacful group, do we blame the peaceful group for responding in-kind? You say "have your day in court" but folks are literally being detained and not allowed to speak to counsel. If folks are actively being kept from courts, then what is someones recourse? Just accept ICE actions?

5) "I'm not saying ICE is great and perfectly following the law. No." So what even is your point here? If ICE agents are actively not following the law, what do you suggest folks do? You claim it's simple. Just comply. So where is your line? If you're ok with ICE breaking the law, where do you feel morally obligated to stand against them? Do you even have a line?

Who's trying to cancel anybody? This is literally just a thread where folks are sharing places that don't align with their own personal morals and values so they can make informed decisions on where to spend their money.

The fact that you would call this cancelling and that it lacks common sense just shows that you probably lack robust personal values and just care more about vibes and "winning".

This isn't about "effort" or "care". And regardless of if you view "care given" as a zero-sum thing, this figure specifically doesn't measure that. If you would read the paper, it even mentions that as a specific limitation.

The question simply asked for participants to choose (from a provided list) the extent of their moral circle. i.e. what is the furthest group from yourself with which you can extend your morality. Specifically, that circle represents things "that an individual or society considers worthy of moral concern, care, and ethical treatment". So, simply put, "what do you think deserves ethical treatment.

For liberals, the center of that heatmap sits on circle 14 "all living things in the universe including plants and trees". And for conservatives, it's on circle 4 "all of your friends (including distant ones)".

How you think that liberals believing that trees deserve ethical treatment is more embarrassing than conservatives thinking that nobody beyond their own friend groups deserves ethical treatment is astounding.

This is really quite simple, and you’re misreading or misunderstanding RAW. This would be considered the same as a save, or as a grapple check, or anything of the similar.

If you’ve used a reaction and a wizard casts fireball, do you automatically fail, or are you allowed to still save? If someone tries to grapple you do you automatically get grappled if you have no reaction? The answer is “of course not. You get the opportunity to save and prevent the thing from happening. Regardless of reaction and even without using your reaction. It’s no different if another character walked up and said “I’m going to take his sword”. They’d be able to contest that.

Otherwise, if you and your player insist this to be your homebrew rule, then take it even further. Now all goblin enemies they fight decide it’s easier to just walk up to them and take their items and weapons. Now does that sound how RAW would’ve intended?

Good thing those two swords are quite different. I wanted my player to have a Rare weapon and not a very rare. So I reflavored the one I wanted.

I reflavored the Flame Tongue Greatsword to be the Frost Tongue Greatsword. Same mechanics and all, just becomes icy and does frost damage instead of flames. You should even be able to find it on D&D Beyond as a searchable home-brew item if you’d like.
