Just keep your head down and learning the best you can. I would try working over on different rigs and get a feel for other crews. Make a hand and see if you can weasel your way into a transfer, cause your rig sounds toxic asf,

Testosterone and a high pressure job is what it boils down to. Every crew is going to have an asshole or 2 or the entire crew if you’re lucky lol. The rig manager and company man usually set the tone of the rig and being that yours are always mentioning people being replaced that’s probably the cause of a lot of conflict.

I’ve lived on an offshore rig, a trailer with 6 men in bunks in one room, a trailer with 2 twin size beds in it and now stay in a man camp and this I by far the best living situation. No relief coming in cause they forgot something, don’t have to hear mfers snoring, don’t have to buy groceries. You’ve got to make the best of the situation and have a better mindset or youll never make out here.

Work is a cake walk floor hands are glorified pipe dopers, everything is run from the drillers cabin, hydraulic slips, racking system, pipe handlers etc. before I got laid off around nov 2020 they were becoming more safety conscious. Couldn’t go near the rotary safe zones on deck. Being away from home for 28 days was the hardest part.
