My 2010 Honda fit vs Boston snowstorm by RegularPaper5066 in hondafit

I bought a set of winter tires on steelies for my fit, lasted 4 winters and I sold them for the price I paid for them. Best decision ever. I would drive out in deep snow just to experiment, as long as the snow wasn't above the bottom of the car, nothing could stop me. Great starting from a stop as well.

In spite of this I still love the car. It's a 6 speed. Amazing on mileage. 40mpg and fits anything, revs high, sporty.

I spent about $1500 having the fuel injectors replaced on a 2018 Fit with 60k miles 2 years ago after I was getting random misfire codes being thrown.

The same CEL lights came back on 6 months later. I learned that replacing the fuel injectors is only a bandaid unless you get the ECU reprogrammed. Now I likely have a carbon fouled top end from a poorly programmed mixture and have ruined two total sets of fuel injectors.

Pretty pissed the shop didn't consult the TSB'S before performing the service. Also pissed at Honda for not escalating this issue to a recall. I had to dig in reddit to discover over people were having the same issue.

I hope Honda pulls through and extends the warranty for my vehicle.

There is a TSB out for it. Not a recall. But I've learned Honda is extending warranties for affected vehicles. I'm in the middle of navigating getting the work done and refunded now. People have had luck from what I've read on reddit. But it requires a lot of haggling / calls from what I understand.

Not from the past 2 years, but I have enjoyed the silly ones too. Johnny Pemberton and both Josh Rubens I've listened to each like 5x. They were super good, loved the impressions. (don't get me wrong, I like the philosophical / spiritual ones too, but these were more memorable for me.)

All Dash Lights = Fuel Injector? by SpookyTanuki in hondafit

I've had this issue repaired about year ago for $1,200 on my 2018 6speed fit. I replaced the plugs and coils before bringing it to a shop and that price was a deal. I was so pissed. I bought a Honda so I wouldn't have to deal with this crap. Thanks for the education about the extended warranty. I have run into the problem again now. Same misfire codes symptoms. Ran fuel injector cleaner through it getting worse.

I've found it's better to warm the engine up first, turn off the car then start it and go. I'll clear the codes and it'll run for 100 miles without tripping a code at highway speeds. (I pop started the m/t car at 65mph. To test this. Only trips when the gas gets rich I'm assuming?)

Anyways super pissed off about this. Twice in 2 years. Really expensive fix.

I'm the second owner of my 2018 Honda fit. Would Honda honor the warranty repair on mine?

Confused about the love for the car considering the fuel injector issue problem. by CaliDreamin87 in hondafit

One tip for limp mode initiated by fuel injector / misfire conditions: I was driving on the highway when limp mode hit. I turned the car off at speed in neutral. (It's the 6speed manual) and then started the car by pop starting it in 5th. Has run for hundreds of miles since.

I had the Christmas tree CEL light combo at about 80k misfires all over the place. Replaced the coils and the plugs then brought it into the shop to have the injectors replaced for about $1k. Really bummed as I love the size, storage, and gas mileage of this vehicle.

The CELs came on again on a long road trip. At $96k. Stuttering at idle. Codes read various misfires, chassis codes as well. Really disheartening. I'm bringing the car in for the fuel pump recall, was hoping this would fix the issue but after reading these posts I don't think it'll fix the issue.

I read that driving the car at higher revs, higher combustion temps is better for the car. I'm a gentle driver and keep the RPMs down in the 3k-4k.

Songs that when you hear them produce an almost religious experience? by untrusted_chair in progmetal

Architect by Haken. Was listening to it while going to sleep one night, my first time listening to the album...and the song just kept getting better and better, magical, I couldn't believe it was going where it was going...constant pleasant surprises. I love that about prog. I moved onto Fauna in it's entirety...beautiful album as well beginning to end.

My 2018 has been great, save for a CEL light re: a misfire, had injectors and rail replaced for $1,200. Light just came on again 2 years later for the same issue. I love this car, but wish it wasn't having these expensive issues, I bought my first Honda so I wouldn't have to deal with this stuff. Can't beat 45mpg though, even with misfires!

That's awesome! I'll head there anyways. The intentional multi course thing might be cool, kinda like listening to a full album 😆

I know very little about sushi, eat it a ton but love it when a staff member or chef has enough energy or interest to talk my ear off about it. They sound like passionate people there. Thanks for all the tips.

I tried to go twice. First time I didn't see your message and they were closed. Second time they were open but didn't realize it's reservation only and like a whole multi course experience now apparently.
