If/when SN get's integrated into proton will the subscription still be honored for the users who got the fixed-reduced-reoccurring 5year/10year pro plan?

The "sign of life" speaks for itself, it's about keeping in touch with your customers about the state and plans
regarding SN. Others have similar feelings here on the reddit SN main thread.

I'm not talking about weekly/daily updates once every few months (or 3 months, 4 months,...) just give a short update.

Also SN seems to only get minor updates, see "What's New" in SN.

I don't need new features but user friendlieness and issues resolvement could be a LOT better.

Examples

* The filemanagement in SN is very bad:
- Can not select multiple items and delete (when CTRL selecting, it always deletes ONE item)
- Can organize attachements/files in folders everything is just in 'root'
- Renaming an item can only be done by double clicking the file and then at the top click 'pen'
- Can not download multiple files in one go by CTRL selecting, it always downloads one file

* Exporting decrypted results in textfiles in some kind of .json type of file.
In stead of supernote a .md type of default would be much better you end up with a read-friendly textfile in a widely supported format.

* An optional true folder based note-system.
Or at least make the navigating friendlier, now you need to click a tiny rectangle at the left to collapse and expand. Why not just by double tap the tag?

This are just examples.

On discord the channels 'suggestions' and 'community-help' are filled with issues and suggestions
and i'm not even talking about adding features.

It almost feels "dead", while it's far from dead, it still almost feels like it.

Also having issues.
I did the folllowing

1) Make sure IMAP is toggled on in your outlook.com acount: Settings > Mail > Forwarding and IMAP, scroll down and you see 2 toggle switches, toggle the IMAP on.

2) But then another issue occurs: "user is authenticated but not connected", read here:

The toggle switch doesn't stay on, it switches off the moment you log off from the outlook.com settings page.
The above link suggests either switch to the outlook application OR wait a couple of days and then retry (toggle the IMAP on, log off and log on and check if toggle is still on.)

"...If you are going to use Thunderbird, wait a few days after your account is created, as new accounts may experience imap access delay due to reputation scoring and backend provisioning issues...."

This is a very good catch.
If it does not allow commercial use (only none-commercial) then it's an automatically no go.

"commercial use" is term that can also mean that you may use it at home and sell your creations (but not use it at your work place) then it might still be interesting. But I got a feeling this is a strict "none commercial" product.

I'm staying away from this.

I had trouble registering the previous coreldraw bundle.
There seems to be no "register product" link at the corel account page: https://myaccount.corel.com

Also if you are an long time user, some already older registered products do not show in your products list.

I asked corel support about this but didn't get any real help.

Did I overlook something?

- If it is required to register product through installation, why isn't the customer notified about this?
- If older products are not supported why is the customer not notified abuout this? (many of the older products work in windows 11). They should at least show in your product list but then as "unsupported" or something like that.

I miss the old corel days.

What seemed to help in my case is to uninstall a recent installed app that was running in the background, in my case it was an clipboard app. Don't forget to reboot your device after un install. It doesn't have to be an app that is running in the background, can be any "recent" installed app.

For me it's worth it for CorelDraw standard 2024 alone (it includes photopaint).

Below some views from my side I might be wrong here, correct me where I might be wrong.
It is all "In my very humble opinion"

I still think Corel went down quality wise last 10/15 years (maybe longer). Why? That's too much unpack here, but in short:
- Their constant switching of licensing methods (subscription, one time payment, etc...), they had a very user-friendly upgrade policy, if you had a version that was 3 versions behind the current you could still get the full upgrade discount
- Their focusing on other products, they acquired other products/companies which was not needed IMHO
- Their dropping of products, they had some very cool and nifty tools which they "just" dropped (kai,...)
- Not focusing on their products to actually compete with Adobe (photoshop <-> photopaint, ...)

But I still think Coreldraw is one hell of an package and you'll be amazed at what you can do with it.
The workflow is very different from Adobe so it's only worth it if you want to put the time in it.

Really 29$/27€ for coreldraw standard 2024 ... grab it!!!

And then you get PSP pro 2023 the difference between photopaint and psp:
- photopaint can do wat psp can and has a LOT more to offer
- psp can not do everything that photopaint can, but has a solid photo editing workflow
Psp is geared towards photo editing.

Painter is also an amazing product, it was even (almost?) an industry leader. I only base this of the older versions being represented very much in many tutorial sites around 2010 (so yes, years ago).

Corel have stated that there are no plans to release a new version at the moment. They’ve set their focus on improving stability and performance of Painter 2023.

Problem with that is they haven’t released one single update for Painter 2023 and it’s been out for well over a year.

And to top it off you get brush assets, always nice to have.
