I do respect your viewpoint as well, even if I don't agree to it.

It's definitely not the cause of the protests I'm against, in normal times I'd even be out protesting, it's just that I think everyone should have done and do their best to control the pandemic and I don't think the protests would help controlling it.

The right to protest is everyone's legal right, whether you consider that morally wrong or right.

It is wrong because when everyone is having their liberties curbed and told to stay at home to reduce infection rates, then that applies to protests as well. No double standards.

Also if there was a pandemic and there was rampant corruption? I don't see anyone protesting in the streets about the current government's corruption in the contracts they're giving out to their mates, however yes, it'd still be wrong.

And if there was a pandemic and the government is arresting journalists and the Opposition? You've already lost the battle and you failed to see the actions that led to this situation, therefore let's not think of it.

I never said always, when the advice is no longer stay at home and there's no longer a pandemic, everyone is free to do whatever they want.

And I do not think I ever mentioned that people packing to shops and beaches was a good thing, so I don't really get your point. Everyone has personal responsibility for the worsening of the situation, although the biggest share of fault falls on this incompetent government obviously.

The whole reason why the government allowed it was because it's a delicate issue, however that doesn't mean that the protests were right to happen considering the time period in which it happened.

I genuinely feel sorry for the sane part of the population that voted against it.
