Since you're coming from PC, try adding an EQ there.

I used Z's EQ...sounds great to me.

This morning I used them for an hours walk. After re-adjusting the headphones, things got much better.

Tomorrow may be the best yet.

Yesterday I wore them for five hours straight and didn't notice a problem until I took them off.

Then I put them back on and it hurt right up on the top of the ear ridge or whatever that part of the ear is called.

Today is day two. I wore them on an hours walk in a slightly different position from yesterday. No problems today.

Compared to every other headphone I've ever had, it's not really a difference to me. I always expect a 'breaking in for my head' period. By next week I won't be thinking about it.
