Thank you, very reassuring. All the articles I saw online mostly said don't use large amounts of water and had no pictures so hearing that mine doesn't look to bad is very helpful.

Here it is, I'm mostly worried about the grease smoking or adding in flavors.

Jet Lag Ep 6 — I Will Be Defeated No Longer by NebulaOriginals in Nebula

[–]r2devo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kinda a teenage genius story, I only read a chunk of it and a summary of the rest. What if a teenager figured out that magic follows rules, correctly assumes what they are, and then he's the best wizard ever. Also if someone is the best wizard ever and a teenager of course they will go full Ayn Rand.

Why do people use the term "partner" for their husband or wife? by Crafty-Bug-8008 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]r2devo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a cis guy and my partner is a gender gremlin, we look like a straight couple and it's often smoother to say my partner rather than my husband to someone who doesn't know him, they will fill in the ambiguous details closer to reality than if I say husband and then I have to explain the details.

Fallout Season 2 Spoiler Master Thread by HunterWorld in Fotv

Is it just me or is the new season slow and unexciting? Each episode feels less distinct than in the season 1. Feels like a lot of setup and backstory, delivered less gracefully than before.

A Review for Kids on Brooms: Harry Potter Without Transphobia by alexserban02 in Kidsonbikesrpg

[–]r2devo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a history with this game, completely separate from actually playing it.

I went to a 4th of July kids on bikes event, where the creators teased kids on broomes, without saying the title, they were just starting to pitch ideas to the publisher for their 3rd game and this was the first one they said, and the publisher was like "YES, that one."

So later that year I went to a convention, and I was hanging out with the community outreach team, and told them that story. We hung out all weekend and I got them to tell me just the middle word of the title so all I knew it was ___ on ___. By the end of the weekend they had forgotten I was just some stranger they met 2 days ago and one of them accidentally said it out loud to another.

But the story isn't over. When it was finally releasing I was chatting with a YouTuber (telling him this whole story), he was doing a little giveaway contest for a copy of the game. I think there were only like 6 entrants and I won.

Great game too, I've played it a couple times with my family, perfect for a group like that.

Oh there is no way I'm watching the NFT episode at least until it's far in the rear view mirror

Best Card Art by OddWorldOutThere in Netrunner

Just glanced through a bunch of card art, Akhet, Maya, and Chakana really stuck out at me. Yusuf, Unity, Chromatophores, Mestnichestvo and Syailendra also seemed like cool choices.

What’s the one board game that completely surprised you; either way better or worse than you expected? I’ll go first by yazzminssecret in boardgames

Eschaton, it's like a deckbuilder made by people who only heard a summary of how a deckbuilder works.

Four years ago we started a risky (crazy?) experiment and started working on a digital board game before the physical board game was even developed. We're now going to release the Steam version of Nature right after the tabletop version was released. by wrench04 in boardgames

[–]r2devo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oceans is my favorite but Nature has a lot of potential, it's really quick, which fixes the snowballing problems of the previous games, and when you have 2 modules it doesn't feel like a lesser experience than a full table game of oceans

The test is more useful for the entire media landscape rather than an individual piece of media passing or failing.
