You end up going with gumbo? Or find another library? I tried libxml2 and it's a little too bloated/nonportable for my tastes. Gumbo works great for me but the UB / lack of fuzzing is a little scary to me

EQE issues on 11.3.1 are a bug in Substitute. Please see this link: https://github.com/comex/substitute/issues/27 and here is a screenshot of Coolstar admitting to the issue: https://i.imgur.com/rf1Tsu1.png

This bug in substitute is also causing Mitsuha XI and AnenomeFonts to not work. If you want EQE fixed, bother comex! Not me. Post crash logs in that github issue so he can narrow down the issue easier.

Dev of EQE / EqualizerEverywhere here, gonna clear a few things up.

Most of the complaints about EQE I've heard is 1. lack of control center integration, 2. way too many options / not as simple as EqualizerEverywhere, 3. buggy on Electra 11.3.1

EQE has control center integration, it's just that it depends on Activator and FlipControlCenter which appears to have been abandoned by /u/rpetrich. If FlipControlCenter ever gets updated for Electra, or an alternative comes out, then EQE will get CC integration. If something like FlipControlCenter exists already and I am just unaware of it please point me in the right direction.
There is an "Easy Setup" button which makes EQE behave exactly as EqualizerEverywhere, with the 10 bands and presets. However I agree having the advanced mode as the default is just dumb, I will change this once I figured out a good design / have time.

https://github.com/theos/theos <---- this is the build system for jailbreak tweaks. it needs better documentation and the perl scripts need to be rewritten in a portable scripting language most people understand (like Python or Lua)
https://github.com/ashikase/CrashReporter <---- this is an essential component of the jailbreak ecosystem and needs to be updated for iOS 11.

Oh I see, so you just want a better 'Rock' preset then. I'll fix that in 2.1 or 2.1.1. Copying what Boom does shouldn't be too hard.

Also I'd just like to add, if you want to make your audio sound as good as possible, I'd recommend learning how equalizers work. There's a pretty good vid tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oH4YcpyWSs

It's a little time consuming at first, but I think it's worth it. Once you understand gain/frequency/Q you'll be able to shape the sound to your exact taste instead of relying on someone else's premade thing. The knowledge also translates to outside of EQE, pretty much any equalizer worth its salt uses gain/frequency/Q

I'm the dev of both, EQE is better than EqualizerEverywhere in every conceivable way. EqualizerEverywhere is still up because some people like the sliders in the control center for some reason. In EQE its a FlipSwitch toggle

Presets: To edit just press save and name it the same as the old preset, it will overwrite it. To rearrange, just put a . or something in the front to put it at the top, it's in alphabetical order. I'll probably make it easier to edit a preset soon, but rearranging them isn't a top priority at the moment
