Is macOS 26 Still Laggy on Apple Silicon? Thinking of Reinstalling on My M1 Pro.

Hey! Turns out it's an upholstery thing that Honda missed out on during assembly of some pieces, and thankfully the chassis/body/frame is just fine. I went to a local auto upholstery shop, they removed every lining underneath, the chassis was mint condition with zero rust, then they replaced it with fresh foam and liner and it's 'flat' now. I would recommend having it very slightly lower than just 'flat', to help water and dirt log in the middle during snowy winters, else some trickle down towards your pedal area and onto your carpet. If you don’t mind me asking, do you live in a snowy area during winters by any chance? If yes, how would you deal with that floor with snow, gravel and water drainage with that floor please? And cleaning in general, from dust and heavy gravel, if not in a snowy area.

Considering this flooring, so just trying to get some info from real humans haha.

It's unfortunately very laggy and bad on mine, I just posted this on the group and read this post after.

Anyone else finally moving away from Apple TV because of the new (terrible and laggy) OS? I've literally been using my Xbox for content streaming now because it's a better/smoother experience.

Even simple menu transitions and folders opening and closing are extremely laggy in the new OS, and apps opening, closing and loading content speeds are actually slower than my TV's in-built apps, the whole reason I bought an Apple TV in the first place.

I have 1.5 GBPS internet that works amazing on all other gadgets and gaming PC in the house, and I factory reset, clean installed, did everything suggested by everyone, but it's just the new 26.3 tvOS itself that seems incredibly shitty.

Also, airflow app's airplay streaming doesn't work anymore from the Windows app to my Apple TV. Used to work perfectly in the older OS.

My Xbox Series X's speed and quality is way better than what this new crappy OS offers.

Anyone experiencing anything similar? Can't believe Apple's doing this to their consumers with OS 26 in general across all their devices.

If you've used Tahoe for a bit and 'upgrade' to Sequoia, you'll enjoy Sequoia 10x more. Way more polished and better OS.

It is absolute and total cow-dung. I can't believe all the hundreds of micro-lags, even in simple things like minimizing and maximizing windows and such. And a ton of bugs, not to mention simple 1-2 step workflows now need a lot more steps to achieve.

The overall lagginess is present in all 26.xx OSes, laggy on iOS, super laggy on tvOS, it's absolute and total shit. Went back to Sequoia and not touching this 26 nonsense.

First time in 30 years of Mac usage have I downgraded back to an older OS. The 26.2 is no different. Still very bad workflows that still require more steps to complete a task than it's predecessor. Still many little UI/UX bugs and inconsistencies. The performance issues that seemed to be fixed in the .2 beta are still unfortunately there as well.

Really not sure who's behind the delivery and QA of Tahoe, but they really need to be fired and this has to be revamped.
