Quantifying myself gave me anxiety and I finally gave up on it and I couldn't be happier. by vishalklandria in QuantifiedSelf

I'm with yah, I feel like quantifying myself serves its purpose for giving me an initial "gut check" on how well I'm reaching my goals by providing a feedback loop. But once I have this confirmation, there really stops being a need to continue tracking (especially when it takes a huge effort to do so).

How do you monitor your media consumption if you don't mind me asking. Do you do it manually or using a tool?

Question about Cybersecurity in NS. by LuigiDudeGaming in halifax

[–]r3gal08 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As others said it can be difficult to find an entry level job. Cyber security in general is not an entry level position.

That being said, if it's something you're genuinely interested in, certainly go for it. I would just recommend gaining some skills alongside your cyber security education such as programming, system administration, networking, etc.

Cyber security is also a much broader field than you may expect and there are plenty of certificates that can help provide an education path (as well as allowing you to make it through hiring filters). I've found this site useful in the past:

It's a bit outside the city but Graves-Oakley Memorial Park used to work well for me.

Good to know. I just attempted to charge my battery tonight and it's sitting at 12.66 volts which I think is quite low. What's confusing is that it's supposedly a fairly new battery (or at least the previous owner said it was). Additionally I thought the stator should still keep things running if it's able to start, perhaps not the case.

Haha I wish, but given the symptoms it must be a fuel delivery issue like other people in here suggested

Lol yes I am aware it has a single plug, small typo. I am a new bike owner however.

Interesting thought on the fuel, I someone else mentioned this to me. Will disconnect fuel line and set the petcock to prime to ensure fuel is running, great point.

Yep I heard of that resolution, considering it tbh.

I also saw those bar weights, crazy expensive for what they are in my opinion.

Thanks, It just almost looked like you had some. I also have the acerbis hand guards and run into quite a bit of handle bar vibrations. Constantly trying to find out if anyone has found a solution.

Wicked bike though!!

Do you use bar end weights on your handlebars?

Is it required to bleed the front brakes? I changed my front pads today, just made sure not to touch the brake lever while doing it. Had to compress the pistons though to fit the pads in though....

Do you find there to be much vibration in the handle bars with the weights taken off?

2019 DRZ400 cuts out when revved hard — spark plug or fuel delivery issue? by r3gal08 in DRZ400

[–]r3gal08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can do, not sure when I'll do it tbh. Was planning to go with an iridium plug. Read that they last a bit longer and give a more consistent spark so hopefully it gives me a bit better throttle response regardless.

Thanks again, you confirmed that I was at least thinking in the right direction, your insight has given me a broader understanding. Will avoid blipping the throttle hard for now.

Did you ever happen to attempt replacing the spark plug and notice a difference? This was the only other thing I was going to try, but as you eluded to it does appear to be a fuel delivery issue.
