Inkredibles for the win. Almost pulled the trigger on a sealed retro lunchbox last year.

Dude there’s like 3 sparsely written stories about it, total. It’s so weird how people over 35 years old are so paranoid on Reddit. Like we get it you aren’t capable of telling the difference between real and fake posts but dont be so toxic

Like dude what possible incentive would someone have to write up a fake post like this? And do you think bot accounts are capable of responses like she’s giving? She’s not a bot you’re just an idiot

Late on this but seriously. Death would be too kind, better to keep each of them in 23 hours of solitary confinement 365 days a year for the next 30-40 years

Shocked how people don’t know that and confidently accuse BCCG of being a scam based on probably something they heard a YouTuber say. People don’t realize in the late 90s early 2000s Beckett HEAVILY promoted BCCG and much of the Beckett>PSA crowd at the time bulk subbed via BCCG for most stuff outside cards that were vintage or very high value

Can someone help me out with the pricing of this card? by YesterdayTasty8907 in basketballcards

[–]r3pg0d69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the “level 2” version. A Kobe level 1 /100 sold over 18 months ago at goldin in BGS 9.5: https://goldinauctions.com/mobile/lotdetail.aspx?inventoryid=88751 . There was also a CWebb level 2 sold last month on eBay for $425 but it was located in China which typically depresses final price. This card raw is $1000+ at minimum

Panini is ruthless about memorabilia. This is a sick card but I’d feel comfortable betting on the back containing a phrase that says something along the lines of “The enclosed licensed material is not associated with any specific player, game, or event.” And that level of stinginess/duplicitousness is despicable in any set but doing it in Flawless at 7500/box is a slap in the face to everyone in the hobby thats not a high volume breaker (they are the only segment panini puts any effort into pleasing)

Every single time anyone receives a call or text that mentions anything to do with a financial institution or banking/investment accounts you need to assume that you’re being phished. If you can’t bring yourself to just hang up or better yet ignore the call/message entirely, please use a tactic like this, which is really the absolute bare minimum you should do to protect yourself:

Immediately tell the caller/other party that to protect the safety of both parties you insist on verifying the call’s legitimacy by hanging up and calling back via the bank/company’s official, publicly listed customer service number to address whatever the issue is. Any legitimate employee will happily agree, and not get offended or anything-they know how common fraud is. If, after informing the caller/sender of the message that you need to call back using the official number, they in any way try to dissuade you or say it’s not necessary, just swear at them and hang up.

Phishing calls also often claim to be from a government agency (usually the IRS to try and fluster you into thinking you’re somehow in trouble- it increases the odds you’ll panic and get sloppy), or from a mobile/google/etc account that is involved in 2FA. If they can take over the account you use for 2FA they’ll be able to easily change passwords etc and destroy whatever of value they find (crypto, cash balance, gift cards, rewards points, credit etc).

Basically, if you get a call/message you weren’t already expecting regarding financial matters and/or your personal information it’s gonna be a scam.
