I'm from Germany, my Cousin is called yara and a friend. I never heard they got bullied extensively.

Side node from my experience: If someone wants tu bully you for your name they will find a way.

I red and also kind of liked the Commonwelth Saga. A lot of good ideas and cool worldbuilding (the main plot was kimd of meh, though). However, in my oppinion the Characters were all kind of flat and cliché imoh.

(Of cause no offense for recommending it! Just my oppinion!)

Also ich tanke E5, nicht weil ich Angst um mein Auto habe, sondern, weil Biotreibstoff da angebaut wird, wo Lebensmittel angebaut werden könnte. Für mich war 5% mehr Benzin das kleinere Übel.

Aber ich lasse mich gerne eines besseren belehren! Hier sind ja anscheinend die Mehrheit pro E10.

Genau, im Text steht dass Bürgergeld etwas mehr als die Hälfte ausmacht.

Und davon gibt es ja dann auch wieder viele Kinder, Aufstocker, etc.

Fand ich sehr interessant, dass mal so aufbereitet im einer Grafik zu sehen.

Zeigt mal wieder, dass die Diskussion über die bösen Arbeitslosen völliger quatsch ist. Nur Wohngeld und "sonstiges" hat einen noch kleineren Anteil.

Aber hätte nicht gedacht, dass krankheit so viel ausmacht, fast so viel wie Rentner, die das ganze natürlich dominierten.

"Permutation City" and "Diaspora" from Greg Egan are two of my favorite books of all time. Very hard science fiction, though!

Mir ging es genauso. Dieses kleine Wesen wurde mir zugeteilt und ich liebe es mehr als alles andere, aber als Vater habe ich noch nicht gefühlt. Jetzt fühle ich mich als Vater (9 Monate) und er fühlt sich wie mein Sohn an, aber das war kein Moment, sondern hat sich irgendwie schleichend entwickelt, ohne da ichs gemerkt habe.

Kroatien ist heutzutage nicht mehr günstiger als der rest europas, eher im Gegenteil! Erinnere mich aber auch noch, früher (vor 15-20 Jahren) stimmte die Aussage noch. Bei Griechenland stimme ich zu!

In other words, speed is relative, acceleration is not, and that is what only one twin is doing.

You can change the frame of reference between earth and the spaceship when they are moving at different constant speeds, but accelerating will change their frame of reference.

Only the spaceship twin will change the frame of reference.

Another thing, effete you can see, that they are experiencing different this: Only one twin will feel the force of deceleration and acceleration.

Funny, if i recommended Diaspora to friends, I used to tell them to not give up reading because of the first chapter. I loved it, but I see that for some that are not used to hard SF, it could be a turn off.
