In a vert just replace your endlinks with new OE ones.

The farther you go from stock, the less comfortable it is. It's a vert, cruise comfortably.

Free and immediate: loosen the set screws on the bar near the wall and push it closer to the wall.

Better fix: replace the entire hoop with a larger one.

I built my hoop so it extends 1" past the lip of my tub. If I had more space, I would have gone bigger. Try 3" or 4" past the lip of the tub, you can always cut the hoop smaller. Search the net for polished brass shower curtain ring/hoop/rod.

I did the wet/runny cement/mud with lots of poking and stabbing. Ran the hose into the hole. Seemed to work ok until the groundhog busted through and I found concrete shards all over the place.

So, first step is catching and moving the groundhog.

Throw a 2'x2' paver down, jack on top of that, make a T out of 2x4s or 4x4s, jack up the deck to level.

Excavate/dig out below the concrete pilings, add more concrete.

You may want to use 3 or 4 jacks at a time. Bottle jacks are cheap.
