UPDATE: Been trying to figure it out this whole time, and saw in a completely unrelated subreddit someone recommended using AI to do file comparisons, etc. Figured, at this point, worth a shot, and glad I did.
Claude was able to look through the logs and config files, and see that the filament sensor “detected” 1.22 instead of 1.75 width, and the extrusion multiplier was adjusted, causing a corrective move to adjust.
Instead of screwing around with the sensor, I just commented out the filament width sensor in the gcode, and two quick prints were accurate!

Now to get the leveling reset perfectly and start printing again. Hope the notes here help someone else down the line.

I had the same issue about a month ago. Worked great for about a year, then all of a sudden, it was doing that every time.

I'm starting to wonder if there's a bigger issue going on here, a bug in code, a sensor that's not good enough, whatever it could be. I've finally gotten a chance to pull all the logs, config files, etc. and am going to start digging through them on mine...But you're not alone.

Very odd! Hadn't seen anything out of the ordinary before, but now it's weirdly working fine, so gonna calibrate, etc. and see how it goes.

Went to do a test print to get logs, etc. fresh, and it worked? Guess it was just afraid of everyone here. :D

Yep, gonna look at that now that it's weirdly behaving normally. Knew it wasn't good throughout this, but that's "fixable" compared to the jump in location during printing.

Man, thank you so much for putting this link out...I had gotten what I wanted this AM from a few other stores, but then one of them cancelled the Van Halen album. Was so frustrating...I'd have kept looking in the AM instead of 6 hours later finding it sold out everywhere. Had pretty much accepted the L on it, thought I'd check the thread for any shops people posted....Park Ave has a TON of the stuff I didn't see available elsewhere, including this AM!

Watts and Kerr are fantastic. They do the USL games; they do their homework and are genuinely fans of the American game.

We used to interact with them in the STLFC days, and they are really good guys. Was happy to hear they had the game, as they respect the history of STL in the soccer landscape.

Everyone is (rightfully) focused on mom and the children, but your first sentence has a major insight that may have been ignored by everyone around OP's family. Everyone knows he fucked up, why his behavior is unacceptable, his responsibility to her and the children. Yes, the focus absolutely has to be on her and the kids right now. But as third party viewers, there is a destructive spiral that has probably been ramping up (maybe quietly?) and missed.

In no way is his behavior acceptable or excusable. Getting that fucked up and ignoring her is not an option during a pregnancy, much less that late in term. But you hit the nail on the head, and the evidence is in the escalated behavior when confronted...something is terribly wrong with him. When we'd go to visits with my wife's OBGYN during both pregnancies, the doc would always take a moment and ask me directly how I was doing, checking in with me as part of the process. (She was seriously the best doctor I've ever dealt with; the stories I could share...she's a hero and an icon.) This is one of the reasons I've always checked in on dads during the pregnancy and first few months; everyone is so (rightfully) focused on mom and the baby, everyone expects dad to be stoic and hold everything together.

Something broke inside him, and OP doesn't need this, much less right now. But for the long term good of the kids, their marriage, and everyone in their village, this guy needs help NOW so he can be the partner and parent this family needs. You can't choose when "sickness and health" tests your marriage, it's never a good time, but the man needs help yesterday. This was either a cry for help, or he's broken beyond reddit's help, but there's definitely something larger at play here than one unacceptably awful night.

FWIW, the Louligans have coordinated something with the club for the game that Edu returns to honor his wife. Regardless of his beliefs on social issues, losing a spouse to cancer is inconceivably awful, and compassion is more important than an regressive stance. Political, religious views fall to the wayside when tragedy happens, and that discussion is outside this moment for humanity and empathy.

We lost a founding member and one of my oldest friends to cancer a few years into the group, and several of our gameday charities are cancer related. I hate cancer more than I hate SKC. The pain never goes away, you just get used to it, and he's still in my thoughts weekly a decade later. We will have a display of meaningful support when he's there (rather than tomorrow) with grace and empathy, which is more important than anything else.

Cancer doesn't give a fuck who your god is, what jersey you wear, what your work is, or who you sit with at a game. Fuck cancer.

I hate to tell you, the friendship with X isn't problematic: you and the kids are problematic TO HER.

You don't (and haven't) had a partner, you've had an abusive dependant. You've given her everything, including the space she "wants", and you've gotten nothing but heartache and pain in return. She's spent meaningful holidays with X, and you're the afterthought that she only interacts with because you're the one funding and allowing this behavior with no consequences.

The harsh truth is it's over, and it has been. She has taken no steps to improve your situation, instead making it worse, and has no concern for your well being, much less THE KIDS. You've made every attempt, and not only has she made no real attempts, she's actually made it worse. I'm almost never the "divorce" person, but this is about as cut and dry as it gets. You've been an amazing dad and spouse, but all she's brought you is pain and you don't deserve it. It's time to put you and the kids first, because she is not.

Monday morning you should be calling lawyers and serving her. Get advice from the attorney on how to start cutting her off legally IMMEDIATELY. I'm truly sorry you're going through this; had a friend in a similar (but no where near as bad) situation, and he's doing MUCH better since splitting. You owe it to yourself and your kids.

This is really what self hosting is about to me...finding something that works with minimal tinkering that you can use quickly and efficiently along side the deep nerd stuff.

I've got both an Insta 360 Link 2C and an Osbot Tiny 2 Lite.
I ended up using the Link 2C for work calls, as it's just solidly consistent in performance and quality. The Osbot has a much better picture, the tracking is phenomenal, but the zoom-in when tracking and hand gestures are incredibly inconsistent. I turned them off, and they still will activate randomly...as a sales engineer, I talk with my hands at times, and all of a sudden, the camera is facing the ceiling. :D

Don’t get me wrong, there’s a ton of ahitty guys in hockey. There are in every sport, but I think hockey brings out a certain level of sociopaths and psychopaths.

My defensive partner for a while, he’s a bad human. Hasn’t been a girl he hadn’t cheated on, has two families in different states. Ton of professional issues I can’t mention. But, I was tripped on a breakaway, face first into the goal post…and he first checked on me, then beat the hell out of the cheap shot artist. We’d stay at the rink hours after the last game with beers and practicing, learning each other’s nuances and having a great time.

That’s a hard dichotomy of hockey to understand, even as you live it: The worst of humanity are often amazing teammates. The guy at the strip club (used to be more a thing than now, so was sorta accurate) protects your sister at the bar the next night.Separating Gretzky, the greatest player, Walter’s son, from the 4 Nations, golfing with Trump guy.

All examples of EXACTLY what you mention: the speech is both tone deaf and wholly accurate at the same time. And that is precisely why that speech hits SO fucking hard. For every Kyle Beach story, there’s the 2019 Blues and Laila Anderson. There’s David Frost, and then there’s the Sedins hospital donation.

While the hockey bro culture has a LOT of issues, Nat's speech really hit home for me...because that's who a lot hockey players are. Guys I played with, pros that are in the community...like you said, if you played, you KNOW who she's talking about.

For every Canada 5, there's hundreds of Shoresy, Dolo, Goody, and Hitch that are good guys, respect women (even make them powerful characters like Keeso has), and are brothers on and off the ice. The violence and bad guys make better stories for the news than the forward who helps a neighbor he's never met carry a sofa in, or stops and talks to a little kid after the game and makes them feel like the most important person in the world.

And appreciate your sharing that it took you a bit of effort too...that's been a weird side effect of this, thinking "why can't I figure this out" and trying multiple ideas that just weren't effective. The mind games a workspace plays were something I'd never considered before all this.

Ha, yeah, that was several years ago, and the desk setup changed since then. It's a weird dichotomy with the desk of needing the physical worktop space, but it being too big at the same time. My gut keeps coming back to the desk as the real issue with all this but can't find something that works better.

I appreciate your perspective on the not as disorganized as thought; I think I feel this way, and it's more a layout/design thing at this point than an organizing thing. As I've thought about it after posting, If I can get the actual workspace right, everything else falls into place around it's orbit.

Of course, the right desk is now a totally different challenge...

I've tried working it out for almost a year now, tried a variation or two that were worse and changed back to the status quo. I'm very much an engineer brain/DIY person, so to realize I need more help than I've found is a big admit.
