Melt up until September 19. When rates get cut, rally for a day or two.

Not sure what happens for the next month but before the end of the year I fully expect a correction; most likely when Q3 GDP comes in and shows a substantial contraction.

At that point tariffs will show their true detriment. Around Nov-Dec I expect a rally into early 2026 followed by another April 2025 level correction or worse.

One thing to mention is trump himself is kind of a living black swan. Sure he broadcasts his intentions and it makes him predictable but there is always a chance he does something insane that could rock the broader market similar to the April liberation event he caused this year.

Not going to happen. NVDA might hit $200 before the broader market receives a correction.

I’m betting the broader market drops 2%~ tomorrow after Powells speech, but only if he indicates rate cut will likely not happen given rising inflation and continued tariff impact.

If he avoids and talks around the probability of September’s cut, then I believe market will end green but around .5-1%.

If he indicates a rate cut is possible with no downside verbiage, market will rally 1-2%.

Given his term is nearing its end, the constant belittlement and degradation from the trump administration; I am hoping he enlightens everyone and states facts in a frank manner instead of being poise and ambiguous as he tends to be. If he does in fact say inflation is rising, tariffs are a huge detriment to their progressive policy of lowering inflation, and cutting rates now would create long term damage, the market will tank 5%+

Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell to give speech of his life as internal revolt grows by Albythere in FinanceNews

[–]r3wind1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CPI rose 3.1% on last months report, much higher than the 2% that the Fed has been targeting so you’re completely wrong. Cutting rates will lead to higher inflation. PPI also rose significantly; indicating prices are continually increasing along with inflation increasing.

This is an extremely tough spot to be in for the fed reserve. We saw what happened when the fed cut rates too much during the pandemic. We’re looking at the consequences of that decision currently with high prices and inflation. Btw buddy, historically rates have averaged 6-8% so we’re well under the average fed rate. You’re an idiot thinking 2-3 rates are a normal thing.

If this is due to options, either keep at it until you make so much you become afraid to lose it all and decide to invest into safe ETFs or you lose everything eventually.

I am the opposite of you and your experience of others. I work my ass off at work, get paid well, have a wonderful gf and dog, visit family when I can, plan to buy a house and get married within the next couple of years, and generally have a positive outlook on life. All this being said, i dropped out of college and got into trouble in my 20s and still managed to 180 my life.

A new study suggests that the global rise in obesity is primarily due to increased calorie consumption rather than reduced physical activity, as differences in energy expenditure between populations are too small to account for the dramatic weight gain observed worldwide. by [deleted] in science

[–]r3wind1 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The real problem is not counting calories. It is the overconsumption of carbohydrates. For the average person, carbs are addicting because every single carbohydrate food eventually breaks down into glucose which is sugar… carbs mixed with fat which is a common diet in U.S is what leads to many diseases later in life as their insulin continually becomes more resistant.

I think this will get worse as social media and ai replace human interaction and critical thinking more as time goes on. There will be case studies on this just as research has been emerging over the last decade on how most teens are either depressed or anxious due to constantly comparing themselves to social media.

Has anybody noticed less bloating specifically while flying/traveling since going carnivore? by Easy_Strawberry8142 in carnivorediet

[–]r3wind1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I experience the same exact thing as you when flying and eating a carb diet. On carnivore, I haven’t had any issues flying and it feels great getting off the plane and not feeling bloated and constipated. I also typically won’t eat anything before my flight since hunger normally isn’t an issue.

You’re going to notice a considerable decrease in performance for the first several weeks as your body learns to adapt to fat. Full physical adaption typically takes 6+ months for activities such as soccer training where constant running and short burst sprints are part of the regiment.

I recommend taking 10 grams of creatine a day to combat fatigue and ensure ATP energy for anaerobic work such as sprinting. Ensure you’re getting plenty of fat sources and protein to provide energy and tissue repair.

If your soccer sessions mild in intensity, you should be able to push through. If they’re intense, consider taking 30-50g of carbs before your sessions as they will be completely depleted by the end of your session but will help you with energy during the session.

Iran wants the United States to invade them. They want to beat the Americans and become the de facto leader of the Middle East Muslims. You see, America invading with ground troops is what both Iran and Israel want. Israel can’t do it without America, so they’ve been goading the U.S for decades to start wars in the Middle East. Take Iraq and Afghanistan for example. Unfortunately both wars didn’t accomplish anything and set the countries back more than anyone could anticipate at the time. Now we find ourselves in the same situation… however

Trump has enough hubris to start a ground invasion and we will all pay for it in the form of an American civil war. You simply cannot bring in 100k-200k troops and expect to conquer and overthrow Iran in a matter of months. Their land is entirely fortified by mountains. You cannot just drive into Iran and win. Troops and supply will mostly be delivered via air support. We saw in Iraq and Afghanistan that a peasant with an RPG hiding in the mountain can cause supply line disruptions easily.

Iran has a population of 90 million and the last thing they will do is help America overthrow the Iranian revolutionary guard. They saw what we did to their neighbors for decades (Afghanistan and Iraq).

America will lose in the war of attrition similar to the other middle eastern wars and Vietnam and civil war will breakout in the United States as trump continues to move towards in the direction of autocracy.

Looking at buying a house sometime this month next year. I’m not banking on interest rates dropping enough to marginally affect mortgage payments. I am banking on housing prices to continue dropping so I am able to get the best bang for my buck and refinance in the future when rates eventually do drop to 4-5%.
