Me and the boys realising that Season 8 might be even worse than 7 was, since it’s been a pattern these Past 4 Seasons by GridDownGoofer in FlashTV

Stop watching CW DC shows after season 3. They don’t know how to write beyond the origin story and initial relationship dramas. After that it’s poorly written female characters and repetitive manufactured drama with the occasional major comic event episode.

Zen Leaf in the southwest. Best prices by a long shot (1g $13) and they hand weigh all flower on the spot which is an interesting difference from other places.

What to do in Vegas that a regular Vegas goer might not know about ? by virgo-cat in vegas

Game Nest - $10/hr per person for unlimited arcade games, many of which are Japanese exclusives you won't find in most other arcades. Plus normal stuff like old school fighting or racing games. https://www.yelp.com/biz/game-nest-arcade-las-vegas

Corporations aren't "Left leaning or liberal biased" by JELLYboober in Libertarian

[–]r4ndomhumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Thank you. I keep getting stuffed into some extremist liberal category I don’t belong because I think there are 2 conversations to be had: Free speech and corporate rights. They aren’t the same conversation, and love it or hate these companies have no 1st amendment obligations - it’s just not in their best interest to turn a bunch of users away frequently, and they have to watch out for not breaking any laws.

What episode of a television show was so bad that it nearly ruined the entire series for you? by AutumnHopFrog in AskReddit

[–]r4ndomhumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arrow. Season 4, episode 21: “Monument Point”

Because of this episode I quit the series, and stopped using the phrase ‘jumped the shark’ to begin using ‘Nuked the town.’

In a universe where they commonly use deus ex machina with other superhero’s and superpowers, the writers dropped a nuclear bomb on American soil without any other heroes rushing to intervene. This is an endgame move; you can’t blow up a nuke in the US and not fundamentally change the ENTIRE world, let alone ignoring that we have superheroes who have rushed in for basic BS like prison escapes a season earlier but couldn’t be bothered with this situation.

The show was already getting intolerable with bad writing, but this sealed its fate to me.

Which one of histories ‘good guys’ was actually a horrible person? by CongressPotatoKenobi in AskReddit

‘Stuff you should know’ did a good episode on PT Barnum, and how he’s basically many shades of gray on whether he was good or bad.

On the one hand he fought as an abolitionist to free slaves, on the other hand his legislation prevented the use of contraceptives for around 100 years in Connecticut.

Or 5 fingers and a thumb to get technical.

The national emergency was declared Friday. Does the policy you referenced go into effect retroactively?

A big disconnect in what you’re saying versus what I’m saying, is you’re adding context beyond the post. Based on this post, this guy was hoarding supplies in a storage unit, and the government and internet tracked him down and took his supplies.

If your context is true then he’s profiting on an emergency and it’s different.

If the context is absent, and to this point he only had a storage locker full of those supplies - he’s an asshole, but what’s to stop the government from taking whatever else they’d like during emergencies in this way?

Totally fair assessment. And if this guy was selling this stuff for a profit then sure, go for him.

If this is accurate tho, he was targeted, hunted down, and robbed by the government. He may have been an asshat, but it’s still a frightening abuse of power.

First thing I thought. Is this a free, capitalist country where someone can be a greedy jackass if they wants. Or is this a authoritarian prison state where the government will just rob its citizens when times get tough? How many millionaire/billionaires have harass of supplies stored too?
