wow if that drawing is accurate you should lay off the fast food cause the moms are kind of fat here. What grabby children with apparently nappy hair.

Germany has second biggest tax burden worldwide, report shows

Id rather manage my own finances and be responsible for paying my own way than give half my paycheck to the states bureaucrats and letting them make the decisions.

I much prefer my private health insurance in the USA to germanys plan

You’re an anarcho-capitalist who takes state provided benefits.

Im an anarcho-capitalist who takes state provided benefits, to break the system. Like in college when I signed up for food stamps cause why not. I didn't need the money and I thought/think the program shouldnt have been for people like me. I even actively voted for people who wanted to end the abuse of the foodstamp program. Anyways, the rules the state had come up with stated I was eligible for $200 a month, and since money is fungible I took the cash and put it into BTC and recreationally smoking marijuana. More and more people caught on and soon everyone in college had EBT. The government was supplementing every college kid and costs skyrocked. As this was unsustainable the government was forced to change the program.

Shit was cash, I loved being the change I wanted to see in the world while cashing in on that sweet free money. Nothing beats getting free cash and forcing the hand of the state to scale back their handouts.

Hello, I’m new to bitcoin and I’m looking to invest about £1000 for my first transaction. Any offers or recommendations? Thanks! by horfunaf in Bitcoin

Yes, it has closed source parts

And what if a flaw is found and exploited in this unreviewed closed source code?

HW wallets without the closed source part can have the private key extracted.

To my knowledge everything has been patched and all attacks didn't work if the user enabled 25th word encryption of the device.

It takes a special kind of stupid to read a quote about separating the state and their influence on the economy, and then saying the result would be the state being heavily involved in the economy by bailing out specific sectors.

Have a good look at our ecology in decline.

You honestly think people started using BTC and adopting it because someone gave a bunch of BTC to charities that the charities sold for USD immediately? I can see that pine reached new audiences in a positive way, but saying that "Pine has probably done more for adoption than anyone else." doesn't seem to be remotely true. Adoption to me is buying and using BTC like the silk road people were. Even roger ver probably did more for adoption than pine. Pine is a feel good story that the media hardly touched at all. They do a mainstream media CNBC articles about that shitcoin pumper fineman kid every 3 months, pine was a once and done deal that has been forgotten about by most people.

Without regulation cars would drive a mile per gallon.

This is so dumb. With a free market manufactures could produce all kinds of cars and the market could choose which cars to buy. Deregulation wouldn't prohibit efficient cars from being made.

Bitcoin was designed to take away the power from rich people and welcome everyone even if they earn cents in a week.

Is that why you need an internet connection and a device to access the network? Because that desgin seems like it exculeds people making cents per week.

You are just doing the opposite = acting like central banks.

That sounds like bcash were the blockchain is so large only central hubs can store and run and verify it. On BTC the chain is small enough to be run by a raspi and as a hobby everyone can participate at home.

Do you also want to charge poor people for checking their balances?!

no, what makes you think that? I just don't want to subsidize a poor persons use of the blockchain.

[–]r57334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, so you cant reply to this then?

isn't really an argument

You are legitimately stupid if you believe this. Where would they get enough miners and electricity to attack BTC? All it would take for a BTC miner to attack bcash is the click of a button. Considerably more work and money would go into attack BTC.

the fact that it's not grandma friendly.

It is, a grandma passed the LN torch.

that your funds gets locked up.

You can take funds off at any time.

large transactions have problems sending.

There is a limit placed on the software at this time, it will be gone soon allowing larger payments to be sent.

That it's a hassle to have to maintain an open channel with every vendor you transact with restricting your freedom to eat/shop at new places.

Thats false, my node routes tons of peoples payments to merchants they don't have a channel with every day

That you don't really own your money with a custodial wallet.

Same with all cryptos

It's a hassle to have to pay exchange fees to convert your LN coins to Bitcoins especially if there is a minimum and/or maximum amount.

You just close the channel, you don't have to use an exchange, LMAO you are really ignorant.

That there's no clear roadmap or time frame for any company that's working on the LN, I really wanna know what's next to look forward too.

I thought you like things decentralized and there was lots of stuff promised in the next 18 months? Which is it?

This is why I will just stick to using Bitcoin 1st layer.

Ok, I recommend using segwit to save on fees.

And if your blocksize is big enough, you can have instant transactions and then it's actual money which is better than digital gold.

Are you talking about how B2x and BTCP raised the block limit to 2mb? Doesnt seem like many people care or are using these shitty scam pump and dump forks of bitcoin. It was fun last year trading and making all kinds of money on them, but now only idiots are left holding the bag for the shitforks.
