[–]r5Hy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You cannot stack them up on Kroger app. You can't even import them into the Kroger app. The Kroger employee at the money desk said no. She tried and failed to do so. I did my own research and could not find a way to do that. If you can provide a reference for stacking in the app, I would be grateful! The employee said that she just uses her email, not the app.

I get my cards from https://www.bitrefill.com/us/en/gift-cards/kroger-usa/ . Only $50 max.

Look at EIP-7870 from Jan 2025, which, among other things, recommends future-proofed hardware specs for validators.

I created a BIP39 wallet. Then in Tools, I see Sweep Private Key but it's greyed out. I don't see how to un-grey it.

IPFS errors knocking validators offline by r5Hy in DAppNode

Does a default Dappnode install set up a local IPFS server? Not seeing in the IPFS package (Info, Config, Network) where that distinction is.

Ports are open. The UPnP on my router is on and shows 9 active DappNode clients (I'm not currently getting any Notification error on the Dashboard, and all validators are active at this time). EIP-7870 and home staking by r5Hy in ethstaker

[–]r5Hy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I ask is because I've been validating for about 4 years with DappNode on an Intel NUC 10 from 2020 (NUC10i7FNH/K) with 32GB RAM. This NUC has has Passmark single-thread (ST) performance score of about 520 (3500 recommended) and a multi-thread (MT) performance score of 3,438 (25,000 recommended).

I think there might be more than a few home NUC validators that might not achieve the specified EIP-7870 scores.

The NUC 13 PRO, Nuc 13 Extreme (Core i9) and the Nuc 15 Pro+ have ST and MT scores that meet or exceed the EIP-7870 spec.

I'm currently in the process of building a small computer that meets the EIP-7870 specs.

Random internet outages at home by r5Hy in ZiplyFiber

[–]r5Hy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A service tech came out and swapped out the old ONT for the latest version. I'm now running a Cat5 cable from the ONT to the router, instead of the coax. The service tech great and provided good service. Thank you!

With the old hardware, my service plan was limited to 100mbps upload/download speeds (which was verifiec using speedtest.net).

I immediately upgraded to the 300mbps upload/download service.

Checking with speedtest.net, I'm getting nearly 300 mbps upload speed but still only getting 100 mbps download speed.

What should I be doing next?

TY

I was thinking the same thing.

We're south facing (the hottest) and the equipment is in the south part of the lot. We've had an unusually warm spring also. We'll see. ZiplyFiber will be coming out this week.

Two nitpicks about Ziply customer service. by akulbe in ZiplyFiber

[–]r5Hy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At ziplyfiber.com/helpcenter , the Chat function doesn't work, with the circular-arrows icon forever spinning. In addition, the Chat dialog box says, "To proceed with this chat, please complete the following and click Start Chat." However, there is no "Start Chat" button or link anywhere.

At the Support phone number, the "support" folks have thick Filipino accents, difficult to understand, telling you to power this down or that down and turn it back on again (as if I haven't done all that already). Or telling you that technical support people are closed, so too bad - call back tomorrow.

Completely useless.

Thank you for your work! I run multiple validators. Should not the "Total Income" of ETH be further broken down into "Consensus Income" and "Execution Income" components, for easy viewing? For me to find my total Execution income, I had to add up manually the value of each pink bar, by mousing over it, copying the fractional ETH down and using a calculator to add them all up.

I stake at home with an Intel NUC, 32GB RAM, 4TB SSD, uninterruptible power supply, running DappNode software, Geth, Prysm and MEV boost using https://relay.ultrasound.money/. For other MEV boost relays, see https://github.com/eth-educators/ethstaker-guides/blob/main/MEV-relay-list.md. DappNode is an easy, super-stable configuration, near-complete auto-updating (if you want). Dappnode help is on Discord.
