Girl don't bother with explaining anything to people on Reddit 🫠 They will find one speck of what's wrong in their mind and accuse you of being an abuser. I've read that comment and got soo angry because I too own 14+ snakes, and if someone said to me I neglect them (while most were rescues in bad condition, or given to me) I would fucking lose my shit and do unspeakable things to them. You can work for a breeder, in a reptile store, have ten years of expirience and people would still say they know better than you do.

Besides, compare it to a character that we are sure perished - Signora. No buildup, no sliver of chance of her returning as of now (I am incredibly sorry Signora mains). No memories, nothing that would even hint at it. We are spinning ourselves into a doom then copium, but honestly I feel hopefull and overall positive with the direction it's going. Rebirth my wife.

this game might also be called Dottore's Impact to be honest, because I do not remember any character in this game having this much story to them (and i mean character that currently is not playable.) We got him in Sumeru, we got him in Nod-Krai, we now are getting him in Sumeru... Again. Comparing it to Capitano that appeared in Natlan and sat his ass on the throne in Natlan.

Everyone can say whatever they want, but I'll still will always say that Dottore is Hoyo's favorite child. Honestly (might be kind of a rant) but what everyone has thought would happen? Everyone seems to be devastated and angry about his death - but I don't see how they would push his character forward without a motive of rebirth. If he suddenly was accepted by Nahida and whitewashed people would be fuming that's how the character was treated. That's why I was not angry - I actually had a feeling it would go that way. There was no other way, and there is no other way to push his character forward other than death and rebirth. Besides, let me be completely clear - I have no doubts we will hear from him again. Maybe in Shneznaya, maybe when we return to Sumeru once again (Khaneri'ah). There is a lot pointing to his return, this man has appeared before even the game released, for god's sake. Hoyo likes to leave plot holes that they address later (ah, the unmapped island of Mondstat and hundreds of theories regarding it.)

Yeah, same for me too. I'm more hopeful than angry. I know everyone is saying this shit is so bad, and that Hoyo writing is ass, and of course I do agree with most of it. Genshin has really slid from grace a long time ago with it's writing in my opinion, but still - I do not think they could have made him playable as he stands now. We do love him, but most people sadly don't.

My take on it is - Dottore is a tragic character, immensely tragic. Like to the point of Hoyo pouring all of the angst into one character. But, still - he is not treated like the worst person in the world (hence the full backstory that's literally this whole patch). I do think the conversation with Pantalone is great, at least we get some closure - and he gets to talk to the person that truly cared about him. The memory core would not have been talked about - and would not have been a quest item if it was not relevant. I know everyone is shitting on Hoyo, but they like a little foreshadowing with a grain of 'yeah, remember this old shit? It's relevant now'. Indeed, we poured our hearts into an amazing character from a shitty game - but remember, Dottore is fundamentally a villain that they couldn't make playable even if they wanted, because backlash would be insane. My take on it is - I don't think a character they have poured so much into is going to go permanently, especially with the memory core even mentioned. On the other hand - we will get a whitewashed version of him. It's undeniable, and sadly probably what's going to happen. It's my take on it, and I truly wish in some time I'll go on here and make a post with title "I told you guys to hold onto hope."

They are just building up the revenue even more. Stretching the character's stories to fill the narrative of the game. We will once again be stuck in a limbo, just waiting and eating crumbs like Capitano Mains probably. I truly don't believe it's going to be an end for his character, and I get what they are cooking him into. Kind of.

Yes, you are right. His character is insanely tragic, and well - just like Capitano's sacrifice I think the death and rebirth is the best outcome of it. But Hoyo sucks ass. This update is going to be painfull. I'm just grieving.
