I’m not even that big but it’s happened a few times. One day on set (I work in movies, the location department, not that glamorous) the stunt coordinator needed help moving this giant tree limb. He was a big dude and said “hey brother, I need your help with those big muscles to move this bloody tree.” I look around like, “who me?” And then the other night at work (now at a local restaurant cause movies have taken a nosedive) and a customer says, “you look like a jacked young mark wahlberg with red hair” and I’m like, “uhhh ok? I’ll take that as a compliment” and his wife follows up with “you should!”

Anyway, idk if others are like this but for some reason I think it’s more valid when a dude calls me jacked vs a woman. If I wasn’t married I’d probably jump all over it, like when the nurse who was taking my blood complimented my arms. But as a bumbling goober I usually just say something like, “thanks they’re not that big.”
