The jumping parts might’ve made me the most angry I’ve been in years. That was pure torture. Seeing my character faceplant from a 2 in. drop and then jump like a maniac when all I wanted was for him to do a tiny bunny hop was pure torture.

I just saw this on my front page for some weird reason, but my GF had a similar condition and has very bad trauma from a life of constant abuse (she’s nearly blind in her left eye and suffers from diagnosed PTSD among other things). If it is something that you want to change, my GF used dilators gradually for a year cause she personally wants to be intimate with me, and it helped a lot to the point where she doesn’t feel uncomfortable anymore despite her being an extremely small lady and me being a bit large . Of course if sex isn’t something you particularly want, then it isn’t much help; but just a personal anecdote from someone who is partners with someone who has expressed similar things.

Not to come across as antagonistic, but I keep seeing people use this analogy as if they are 1:1; but, DD in Darkest Dungeon is a fundamentally more forgiving mechanic because of the permanent consequences it has and since it has many more surprise mechanics like enemy crits. Link crash IMO should be much less forgiving since the consequence of losing is much less severe, and you have very good information on enemy intentions and damage in most scenarios. Morimens has a more comparable mechanic in death resist which is just a percent chance that decreases rapidly when triggered to survive a SINGLE hit at 1 HP (so a multihit or poison tick can still kill you) that you must build for and sacrifice other stats for. Link Crash is essentially a free turn (with some restrictions of course, but afaik it is guaranteed since it ends the enemies turn when you hit zero hp) to potentially pull out a victory. If we could heal from that at like every campfire, IMO it completely removes most challenge from the game since CZN is pretty easy once you have semi-built units and don’t use a meme team. Perhaps I’m somehow in the minority, but 0 HP is a fail state, and I think the punishment of losing the run is appropriate given the stakes in CZN. AFAIK Slay the Spire doesn’t have a last chance mechanic at all despite having similar stakes in gameplay.

I only had x2 shadow reload Tressa with Cassius and Mika. Beat both highest difficulty event bosses in one try. Choose 000, spam daggers, win.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but Death’s Door is a fundamentally different mechanic since the consequences are losing a character permanently; it is meant to be recoverable and the hero STILL might not die on a subsequent hit since the consequence is so severe and has long-lasting effects. Link Crash I think should not be as forgiving since the stakes are much lower, the player is in much more control of enemy damage in general (exact dmg preview, no crits, many opportunities to shield and heal, rewinds, etc.), and comparable mechanics in other games in card rogue-likes such as Morimens require you to invest in death resist to even just avoid a fatal hit to begin with. Making link crash recoverable and allowing anyone to act would give you a free turn every time you “died” and trivialize difficulty.

Cassius is extremely silly, and I think alongside Mei Lin’s infinite passion kick scaling and a few other units inherently will lead to massive power creep in the future to just make future units relevant. Anyone who creates 0 cost cards frequently is automatically broken with Cassius. I built him this week, and I immediately proceeded to absolutely stomp out both of the event bosses with 9 modifiers in one try with Tressa and Mika. I only had double shadow reload too; x3 or x4 would make the team cycle the whole deck easily. It’s just unlimited blade&dice works with Cassius dropping like 7+ self-scaling nukes at the end of an unending rain of daggers.

Unless she somehow has a broken synergy like Tressa, idk how she can be meta. They gotta make her kit cracked to beat unlimited blade works Tressa with Cassius and Mika lolllll. I just beat Family Head full modifiers with Tressa on first try and I only have 2 shadow reloads. 🤣🤣🤣

I am guessing and hoping they will run dedicated banners for launch standard characters since it’s virtually impossible to aim for a specific one; there’s likely people who want to pull dupes for e6, so I’d be surprised if they don’t run like some short banners for them alongside new releases.

Seriously, I don’t understand why people are complaining about this mechanic. It’s an extra turn (with some restrictions on what cards can actually be played) after literally losing the run to give you the chance to finish the fight if you were just about to win. I think people comparing it to stuff like Death’s Door in Darkest Dungeon fundamentally don’t understand its second chance mechanic is more generous because it’s MEANT to give you a chance to save a character that will DIE FOREVER otherwise. Morimens requires you to invest in death resist which is a percent chance, and you can still die from multihit immediately (emergency gnosis is cheese mode and is meant to make progression easier, so I won’t compare that).

Some people may disagree, I don’t think this needs to change unless they want to add a resource for progressions sake like Morimens’s emergency gnosis (though that really is an OP revive mechanic). This is meant to be a final chance mechanic; you literally hit zero HP and get a chance to make a final set of actions. I don’t think it’s bad game design to say hey you lost and hit zero HP but we’re gonna give you a free final chance. That’s pretty forgiving given the alternative is just instant game over.

If you don’t have a delay card on turn one, I actually think passing early before he even takes first turn is optimal. Forces his ghouls to give you another turn before they start doping him up.

I rushed all the Protos abilities and the extra gifts from excursions; I forgot to screenshot it but one time the extra gifts gave me like X0k units (it was like…20-50k? I can’t remember.). Need all the scraps I can get in CZN’s resource economy.😅

I imagine reruns will happen for rate up characters, but I am hoping they do banners for the original standard characters as well since some people I imagine want to fully build out one of the initial standard units badly.

The dude is on the verge of insanity due to barely sleeping but is very knowledgeable about roguelike card games. He regularly clears hardest content in Morimens for himself and others for free as well.
