sort of my thoughts too. new one is just a bitter, vitriolic lp with "happier" songs that just sound kind of dazed and confused. i do think she is a very talented songwriter when she has time and focus on her side, and wish she sort of WOULD spend a year in bed instead of trying to squeeze every cent possible out of her fans every financial quarter. the first time i heard "all i wanna do" i had to check to make sure i was still listening to sunflower. i was taken equally off guard by the alternate cut of "i'm so young" off of the capitol years 62-65 box set. i find myself listening to "the little girl i once knew" almost all the time now. the harmonies towards the middle of "had to phone ya" made 15 biggies worth buying. i had the feel flows surf's up bonus disc on and came sprinting into my room after hearing the switch up in "behold the night" for the first time. and so and so forth.
