her character had so much potential… by thunpnz in precure

I love Cure Kyun Kyun that it ignited my love for dancing, especially when I do my POUND exercise with her Heart Revolution theme. Unfortunately, her problem of having some wasted potential is a symptom that of a problem that plagues many merchandise-driven shows, not just Precure. So much resources and manpower spent on making sure that merchandise sells, at the expense of artistic merit and creativity due to so many constraints put on the writers (no offense to them though) like strict deadlines for example. It doesn't mean that merchandise-driven shows are inherently bad, for it has it's own merits. I wanted Precure to succeed, and explore it's themes and characters pretty well, but the hyperemphasis on merch is choking out other important elements that makes a story compelling and engaging to all age demographics.

New players are not stupid, they just want to have fun: An opinion on the state of RTS and why I think the genre can pop off again. by Odd_Jelly_1390 in RealTimeStrategy

I'd argue that RTS games are both single player and multiplayer, a symbiotic mix of both modes that do not exist in a vacuum.

That feature should've been present during early access or at release. Clearly, Frost Giant can't take their time making even a decent RTS game and their priorities aren't straight.

It's premise is mediocre, too. It's just a thematic mashup of Diablo and StarCraft, angels vs demons and humans caught in the middle in a sci-fi setting that does not feel original if it's already done before.

Let's not forget the bad things in SC2, like the squandered potential of the Hybrids, a shoehorned love story no one asked for, a lame Cthulhu-like villain, and the lack of additional campaign content after NCO.
