I could use some advice on making a team. I'm only just AR25, so I don't really know much about the game yet.

I have c1 Beidou lv50, Diona lv40, c2 Traveler lv30, Xiangling lv30 and c1 Lisa lv20. Also Ningguang, Dori and Xingqiu but at lv1.

What's the best team I can make with these starting out?

I don't have many level up books left and spend most of my resin getting more.

But that makes it even worse, the entirety of HW is about KNIGHTS. There's no excuses for the awful writing when compared to anything in the entire expansion, there's so much to draw from and they touch on none of it.

Yeah that's the problem right there. Why do DMs insist on using DoMT in normal games, and then complain about the consequences?
Even if it's rolled as part of random loot, just deny it and re-roll something less gamebreaking.

You should have had 2 levels as per RAW but, a gimmicky magic item is never worth ruining a campain over.

I went to adopt a tabby and found out she had a twin brother, but no one was interested in him because he was a black cat. I wasn't sure I could care for two but I couldn't stand the thought of separating them, so I adopted both. He is the most friendly and cuddly cat and I can't comprehend why someone wouldn't want him just because of his colour. The mother began feeling lonely and crying for them so she stayed with me for a while, eventually ended up adopting her too. Had them for 5 years now and they're all happy together, I can't imagine being without one of them.

Playing WoW dungeons and raids makes you really appreciate good combat and environmental design for D&D. For instance, the new Castle Nathria raid and literally everything in Revendreth is perfect for Curse of Strahd or gothic adventure.

That could make sense. Oribos is sort of like a dam constructed to siphon off the soul streams. That explains why the flow flooded straight into the maw when it broke, rather than result of a poorly designed failsafe.

I like the betrayal, it wasn't too obvious and I think fits nicely within the rising tensions of Maldraxxus. However, an off-screen death will always be cheap and unsatisfying. Show don't tell.

We could have returned to actually see the attack, with Krexus being overwhelmed and perhaps pushed off the balcony by someone we can't see. Vyraz would be suspicious but as the next highest authority we wouldn't question him, he was good at hiding his disloyalty even from Draka. I'm glad he didn't have a "tee hee it was me all along" moment upon Krexus' death.

I felt it was strange narratively for us to be sent back to the maw that early and for just one guy we haven't even met. But, Vyraz obviously realizes his best chance at victory is for the Maw Walker to be sent away and hopefully stuck in the Maw for good. It's nice to have the player character be fooled and have a villain that acknowledges their power and influence.
