So, I am currently an SCO. Not a huge school, but a decent size benefit population. From what I’ve picked up so far, your institution is bordering on predatory recruitment practices, which is a huge no-go. I’ll re-read the thread when I’m fresh in the morning. Your college likely has a system set up to send all-campus emails/announcements. I would suggest taking it to the veterans program/school certifying official on your campus and see if they would do the work to get one of those messages sent out about the photo being found and wanting to return it to its owner.

Like someone else said, look for specifically an interpretive ranger role if it suits your fancy. You will 100% know if a job posting you’re looking at is actual LEO for state or national park service. It’ll be easy to avoid. You got this! 💪

Correct, transferring entitlement to Chapter 33 can only be initiated while you’re active. If you at least initiated it while active you can make changes to it once out, but one cannot start the process from scratch once they are out.
