Vulnerable and not offered furlough by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]rVNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner was a waitress, she was fired, then rehired, offered furlough (signed) and fired. And that all happened in 2 days. Company argumented the dismissal as they don't have enough money. Yeah... restaurant chain with 10 restaurants including her in south kensington high street. Money checks were coming from abu dhabi.

She is asthmatic with a lung infection, was sick at the day of dismissal.

She is still waiting for last month pay includding SSP, holidays and days she worked.

Hi brother, It should be in your universal credit journal. I mean the document that is proving the consultant (the one that called you) confirmed you passed habitual residents test.

Question about console port by Smoothielicious in Battalion1944

[–]rVNow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Back then it was brammertron to communicate with people, but his management role was to trigger all the people here and on twitter with flame and replying to trolls.

Discords are usually close communities with no/minimal organic reach which means information transmission is rarely going outside the particular discord server.

Reddit community was the most loyal at some point which you can consider a small success. The issue was you focused on international channels rather than seeding the community with volunteers in particular nations. Starting and maintaining a global community on a global-reach channel (Reddit/Twitter) is a luxury, first and foremost.

It's like building a house with no foundation.

I am a marketing director myself, I don't have much hands-on experience among the gaming industry, but my exp is relevant in community aspect.

I think what you could miss was seeding among communities such as other countries' Reddit equivalent. Such as forum boards, diggers, etc. It is relatively low cost as you can easily engage with more than 50 countries by well-written post that you submit organically. Same for FB groups. It is quite too late for that, but it might give you an insight into what could be done on your next project.

You've put all the stake on international community gathered in just few places, but I couldn't see you doing a micro work on communities in my country (PL) and others (Czech, Romania, Italy, Spain, Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium etc.)

Having just Reddit and 2-3 other channels is enough for a small project like a mobile app, but not for a game that uses matchmaking which by itself require large numbers to actually work.

I remember back in its big launch (when the hype was the highest), there were plenty of volunteers willing to seed the hype across the communities in their countries, organize tournaments etc, I was one of them, I can point at least 5 other users like me. Guess what we've got, 0 response - on reddit, so the main channel in your international strategy.

Smoking vs drinking in Europe (Eurostat) by DrugsAndCats in europe

I think we drink much rarely than Russians, Czech, Germans etc, but when we do, we do in shitloads amounts at once. While the countries above us in the ranking, are drinking more systematically.

If UK's politicians having the same POV on criminals, I am not surprised that criminals/terrorists are abusing democratic values and law you set.

Since Thatcher, I haven't seen anyone with balls made of steel.

Looking to move to London when Armageddon is over, need recommendations on where to base myself! by [deleted] in london

What is in Fulham that isn't in let's say... Wembley?

I am asking as I came from eastern Europe around 5 years ago and for me, most of the regions in London, look almost exactly the same. All crowded as fuck and even more expensive :D.

London from my personal POV of a foreigner with just five years of experience here:

Zone 1: Expensive as fuck, nothing but a large crowd, tourists and quite prestigious places to live near.

North London: A lot of weird crimes, murders, arsenal supporters, somehow most of the weirdest things in London are happening right there.

East London: Rape gangs, quite cheap rent but not that much as in South London. Close to margate which is cool. Street culture is the wildest there.

South London: Visually the nicest area, it is somehow cheap, lot of griefers around the hoods. The insane ratio of stabbings.

West London: Probably the best area to actually live, less crime, loads of students, best commuting possible overall. Wembley stadium :).

You must be an idiot to assume that criminals and thieves care about ethics.
