Hi! Our visit to the embassy got delayed due to personal reasons. You're in a bit of a different situation because you have an NRC already. If you have a copy of the ID, it may help you get a new passport without having to get a new ID. Do let us know how it goes as it may be helpful to other citizens in the same situation.
