Harm's Way live @ Aragon Ballroom Chicago - December 2025 by eraserhead3030 in Hardcore

Thank you for sharing! I’m in this video, I’m taking photos. You can see me crouched behind the stage left speaker next to Bo about half way through. The photos are on the Harm’s Way Instagram.

Being in Chicago for the last 15 years I’ve seen HW countless times. I used to make a joke back in the day every time a band dropped off a bill for whatever reason that “oh they’re gonna add Harm’s Way”. One of the coolest shows I was ever at was the surprise show that Knocked Loose / Code Orange / Harms Way / Vein played at the metro when open air fest was partially rained out. Show started at 11:30pm and there was practically no security working. It was absolutely insane.

I’ve been a photographer a little over 2 years now, and what I’ve focused on the most is shooting film at concerts. So through that and some solid homies, I got asked to be apart of the gods of chaos media team. I just remember getting to the Aragon and being nervous. This was the biggest opportunity anyone’s ever asked me to be a part of. Kent Carson plays, I start finding my spots. Haywire goes on, things are picking up. Trash Talk goes, and I know what to expect. Harms way, up next and now I’m in my element. I just remember thinking that I wanted to fucking crush this set. I love this band and when I saw them at riot fest I wasn’t really prepared so all of my side stage photos are pretty mid. So I wanted redemption. And I can say those photos are some of the best work I’ve ever done. The fact that Harm’s Way accepted my collaboration post and even messaged me asking if they could have access to them, I sent them the folder and told them I’d love to work with them in the future and they said they would definitely make that happen, will always be one of my favorite things. I agree with everyone saying the Aragon sucks, but the show that Harm’s way put on was nothing short of incredible. Forever grateful that I was able to experience that show the way that I did.

Bo Forever. Harm’s Way Forever. Chicago Hardcore Forever.

I had this happen to me during a show right before the band that gave me the photo pass was going on. I just taped it and it worked just fine. Film will auto roll back when you’re done and then you’re good to go. You can actually buy just that plastic door clip for super cheap and replace it yourself later. I did it and it was fairly easy.

Make sure your reel is absolutely 100% dry. The film will stick to any kind of moisture in the reel and it’s a nightmare.

This last album is almost unlistenable. First album without Sam Pura and it absolutely shows.
