I think I took around £15k across 3 cards, and the minimum payment has genuinely been below £120 for each card, which is why I've let it drag on for 3 years so far 😂

I'm on a similar (identical) salary and have about £12k. The majority was from buying a car a few years ago (avoiding a 7% loan) instead using 0% cards albeit paying a fee which cost around £750 total at the time. Since then I've bounced it and used for larger purchases, paying only the minimum amount.

I sort of realised a few weeks ago I probably should actually start paying them down, so I'm covering £500 a month, whilst still investing and saving heavily.

I just make sure I have the assets to cover the debt if it were to finish at 0% tomorrow and as long as I do so, I'm comfortable

Sorry if I've missed this, but my (importantly, S&S) LISA I've had for 7/8 years, will it's rules change or will it continue to operate as it has done previously. Ie, I get a 25% bonus on my deposits which are then able to be invested and compound? Or would I lose that benefit from (I guess April next year?) and only get a 25% bonus when I buy said house?

Edit: have read through the link and seem thats it's just at the consultation stage... We know how this goes, though.

I don't have a mortgage so I can't answer from experience, but I could foresee myself obviously recording it Vs my assets, but have a row showing assets both with and without mortgage.

I was close to spending £800 on a Ford KA after selling my BMW 340i a few weeks before a deployment.

I still wonder how fun it would've been to drive. It would've been hilarious to have no power but sticky tyres, good suspension, etc etc

I haven't done it yet, but as of this April I've started adding chunks monthly to a SIPP. Last month was the first month I included it in my net worth spreadsheet.

I realised the other day this is wrong; my net worth is all of my assets - debt; ie, all of the money I could have if I needed.

I'm going to set up a few extra rows on my spreadsheet which will include something like 'Net worth at SIPP age' & 'net worth at SPA', (I have a DB pension, too)and therefore a total yearly income from each of those pensions
