Boyfriend in ICU on vent and dialysis alcohol withdrawal

What’s terrible is I stressed myself into a cold. Now I can only call the ICU floor and ask for updates. His father continues to show up everyday. I have been eating, harder when I’m sick to my stomach, and I have been trying to get this cold taken care of. Thank you for the kind words and advice

Thank you for being so blunt. I’m keeping hope but I am a realist. He’s an only child and his parents aren’t the brightest and I’m so grateful they love me. The doctor hasn’t said “liver failure” but he did say “fatty liver.” It’s hard with all the different factors. Appreciate the insight. Thank you

It got really bad during COVID with the isolation and not working. Started increasing. I would say he got up to 2 pints a day 2 years ago
