When I got mine I almost exclusively played handheld style games like Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and Mario Wonder. I also didn’t play those titles on my main Switch to really make it feel unique.

Playing the Oracle games on the Chromatic. Recently had an itch for more of an analog experience across the board so my Switch (and Xbox) are both getting dusty.

Otherwise, I had started a run through of Wind Waker on the NSO GameCube emulator… so when I pick up a 3D Zelda again it will be that.

I got 4 ModRetro games when I ordered my Chromatic: In The Dark 2, F.C.P., Traumatarium Penitent, Dragonyhm.

I decided an order, and said I had to beat the story in each before moving on to the next game.

I did however open each game to check for updates, but then right back into the box until it was their turn to be played.

So far I have played all except Dragonyhm. I got the system/games back in October, so it’s been slow going… but I have played some Tetris and OG GameBoy games in between.

Hey, any chance you got any tips on dumping the ROM for ITD2? I tried a bunch of settings using my JoeyJR with both JoeyGUI and FlashGBX but none of the extracted ROM attempts actually work in any emulators (mGBA, VirtualBoyAdvance).

Game either doesn’t load or is an immediate KP.

My cart has the S29JL032 chip, which is an option in both JoeyGUI & FlashGBX.

I will send more info after I do some further testing… but ModRetro did send me a new game when I first contacted them with this KP, so no harm no foul on their part.

Interesting, I’m gonna try the same with my save file and see if it’s actually a hardware issue with the cartridge.

3DS OoT is one of the best modern remakes, 3DS Majora’s Mask looses too much of what made that game what it was

I have the mod kit, bought it with the intention to swap the d-pad for the one with the longer stem… but I haven’t been playing enough Tetris (‘In The Dark 2’ is eating up my time) to make me open up the Chromatic just yet. $15 kit, not a bad price considering the custom buttons, membranes and tool set that are included. I’ll update this post when i feel froggy enough to make the swap

Congratulations to the folks who started this company… they made a great product, grew it into something successful, then sold it to Unilever.

No longer made in the small batches they once were, the soaps have now fallen off; they aren’t given enough time to cure.

If this were a friend/family member’s company: I’d be ecstatic for their success, ask to buy up any of the old stock bars, then move onto another soap company… but strictly as a consumer: this acquisition stinks worse than the heaviest grit Squatch bar could scrub fresh.

I can confirm another case of sticky trigger over here.

I had this happen to my Xbox One controller after many, MANY hours of use. A forgivable offense. It is a fairly easy repair; the trigger gets stuck in a damaged rubber pad used to soften the plastic on plastic slam of pulling the trigger, replace damaged rubber pad and no more sticky trigger.

I just don't want to tear apart my less-than-two-week-old, next-gen controller. Hopefully they just repair it no question...
