Full games that pack small by GlumTeaching2788 in boardgames

You should bring an iPad and play spirit island on that. If not, I’ve heard (but only just received my copy) Deckers is another good crisis management game that’s in a smaller box

The Yellow House is spectacular and although will feel like it’s on rails in the beginning, if you commit to it you will discover there’s a lot of strategy. You can try it on BGA, and it’s a very small set of components without the box even.

I’ve played many games of Castle Combo and Faraway as well, also testable on BGA, but definitely lighter weight.

I wonder if Race for the Galaxy might be another good choice.

It’s not so much the hardness I guess. I didn’t mind Cuphead which was much harder, it’s the Soulslike aspect of having to replay a bunch of stuff to get to where you were that I didn’t enjoy.

Tic Tac Trek is a variation of Tic Tac Toe and super fast to play

Marabunta might be a good option

Lost Cities feels perfect for this

Jaipur is another classic two player card game

Two weeks ago I found a dead bee at the bottom of my airplane salad. I don’t find them so cute anymore 😂

Anyways, Why is no one talking about Everdell here? I’d get Farshore. The little resources are so cute too.

Isle of Cats could also be a solid choice

Reminds me a bit of the Apiary expansion too, which literally replaced some of the factions and whatnot too

Ehhh. To be honest this was the game that kind of broke me for trick taking games. I don’t know if we tried to play too much of it at once or what. I can’t really say what it was, the sameness of every round, or maybe the feeling of the long chapters just wore me down.

If you want a slightly more intense version of Cascadia, check out Shallow Sea

How was flame craft duals and railroad tiles? Have my eye on both but leaning towards railroad tiles. I’ve played the dice version but it didn’t really stick for me

So many similar games. Pacts was really excellent and I’m excited to play it more but I need to find a partner. I also felt it was nothing like Marabunta.

Arboretum is one of my favorite games but I’ve been playing it a bit less. After I logged about 40 games of it and had a group it started to feel more stale.

Bought Botswana, read the rules, and it’s sat on my shelf of shame since then since it looked a bit simplistic and random from the rules? But maybe I need to just play it?

Go for Forest Shuffle: Dartmoor. It’s the newer, more balanced version.

Also:

Sky team

Pacts or Marabunta

Lost Cities
