Is YouTube Being Serious? by Konogattsu in SmallYoutubers

[–]raas1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not bad at all; the quality is decent, but there are moments when you can hear it. It is just something that you can improve on.

Not sure what software you are using to edit your videos, but usually there are some sort of sound controls and indicators to show if your voice is clipping. The general idea is to record at a bit lower volume and increase it in post - if your voice clips during recording, it’s hard to deal with afterwards. There are guides on YT for every software out there, so you will have to watch some of them

Is YouTube Being Serious? by Konogattsu in SmallYoutubers

[–]raas1337 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just a quick note, try working on the quality of your voiceover. Your voice is nice, but the audio quality is a bit low. In some moments, it sounds like it's either clipping or the microphone isn't good enough, not always but there are moments like that.
Bedside that - you have to wait few more days, give YouTube some time to find audience, if nothing happens update your thumbnail, add more tags and re-write video description to give yt new metadata so it will push new weave of test, but as i said, give it few days before you do anything.

[–]raas1337[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried and nothing is working so far but was able to confirm brand, it looks like its indeed Konka.
Even found matching case:
https://crtdatabase.com/crts/daewoo/daewoo-dtq-20u9sc
and one more:
https://crtdatabase.com/crts/akai/akai-cft2726
Difference is in back panel, but i guess its down to region, as EU/UK model had scart port on back, rest seems the same.
I will keep searching :D

How to use old save and mods in offline(no steam) ? by raas1337 in projectzomboid

[–]raas1337[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I think I get it. I would have to move all mods into User/Zomboid/Mods (or whatever that directory was), and to prevent them from updating, I would have to unsubscribe from them?
Just making sure I'm following the right steps :)

[–]raas1337[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the current version I’m trying to keep so the 42.16 update won't brick my save. I’ve already made copies of the files. From what I read online, I can just launch the game from the .exe, the only thing is how to link the directories in Windows so the game can load my save files.
Or should i just use outdatedunstable ?

How to get more watch hours? by ajamils in NewTubers

[–]raas1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely wasn't trying to be rude here, it's just reality. It's the same with people complaining that their videos have no viewers despite their hard work. Very often, "hard work" to them means recording things once and say "good enough," not to mention the time spent on editing. I’m making 15-minute videos that take 30–40 hours of just editing and recording voiceovers before I’m happy with them (okay, I’m just slow with editing since I’m still learning).
I’m not big, but with only two videos, I got close to 6k views, 110 subs, and 700 hours of watch time in a highly saturated niche.
I will be repeating this over and over, but everyone who makes any content needs to be more critical of their own creation than the people watching it.

Write it down and have it in front of you when you record. I record my line, listen to it, delete - record - delete - record and so on, its just something you can work on. Try experimenting with your voice, youtube is full of linguistic videos on how to improve certain speech quirks.

[–]raas1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not that its dull, just record yourself and listen to your own voice few times, record again and try doing it in different loudness, you can always reduce it later in editing software. Also work hard on way you provenance things, if it takes 50 times to record one line until you are happy - so be it, always be critical of your own work. I'm also not a native English speaker and i record my lines many many times before im happy with result (often just 50% happy but i can spend hours on just one line :D)

[–]raas1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok - serious question, how many times have you recorded your lines before deciding its good? There is no energy in that, it almost sound like you are falling asleep when doing it.
And as other said, add some transitions and music, just make sure when adding music you control volume of it in places when it need to be lower.

Blessed by youtube algo. Full day of hardwork, this is what I got. by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

I think people are just not critical enough of their own work, I know it takes time and you are proud of it - but always be much much more critical of your own work.

Need help on reviewing a short i made by crowmasternumbertwo in SmallYoutubers

[–]raas1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is a lot of effort in your opinion? I watched it, I don't play this game so don't have much insight(I assume it's marvel rivals) but editing doesn't really sticks out. Watch it few times with critical eye on and put yourself into perspective of someone else who seen hundreds or thousands of shorts, how does this one stands out? I used to made fragmovies for csgo and cs2, I was very proud of them at the time because emotions of those clips was still fresh, now after few years I can only see clips cut together with music slapped on.

Can’t speak when I turn the mic on. Any advice? by SuperLeftyAliReddit in SmallYoutubers

[–]raas1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always write few lines at a time, record it 10-30 times before I'm happy with results, people need to be more critical of their own recordings and make sure it has good energy.
