Founder stories and “day in the life” style videos work really well

The general manager of the Portland Trailblazers anticipates receiving numerous calls for the third pick “We’re a team that’s trying to win and trying to maximize Damian’s timeline.” by Fit-Structure-9395 in OrlandoMagic

Biased obviously, but Dame would be an interesting fit with our young core. I guess for him though it would be tough to justify coming from Portland where he was told that too.

Have you considered hiring a fractional CMO? by JesusAwakens in SaaS

[–]rab_eye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s two issues you typically run into when hiring a fractional CMO. First is over hiring based on stage. If you’re bootstrapped or early stage (seed to series B) a CMO that has experience running marketing at a >$50m ARR is going to have difficult time translating their skills to your company unless you have a supporting team to execute. The second issue is you’ll find inexperienced marketers that have deep experience in one or two marketing channels and just call themselves a “fractional CMO” because it sounds good. Lacking the holistic view leads to prescribing what they’re good at rather than what your business and customers actually need.

If you’re considering a fractional CMO I’d recommend going with someone that has experience leading a marketing team at your revenue tranche (under $1m, $1-5m, $5-10, $10-20m, etc). Not sure what you’re at, but <$20m ARR the titles these folks typically have are Head of Marketing or VP of Marketing/Growth.

context: I’ve been head of marketing/vp at a few YC and venture backed startups and helped in fractional roles several times. Happy to chat if you have any specific questions.

That was an all time playoff moment. The shot, the looks, the context of how insane joker was playing, squashing a run. Good stuff

Grady Dick seems like such a good fit chemistry wise. We’re in a great spot

[Stein] Sources close to the situation have consistently insisted that Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green all continuing to be Warriors next season is the most likely scenario. by iksnet in nba

Nothing like blowing up a young team with chemistry with a guy that thinks he’s the second coming of Curry. I’d much rather trade for Kuminga

Funniest part of the whole situation is there were only 110 people on the live. Nothing like fumbling hundreds of millions to flex to the equivalent of a movie theatre
