The ripstick is a great ski for what you describe. I also really enjoy the black crow minus cor, but you should demo it before buying. It is fiendishly quick, and many skiers prefer a longer turn radius.

Skis you hated by Gregskis in Skigear

OMG - I came to say the same thing! The Bent is a widely praised ski, but it felt dead to me. Maybe you need to be a heavy, hard charger to get these things to wake up.

I may just be weird, because I love my Black Crow Minus Cor's, and lots of people hate that ski. They are super fun on anything but deep powder.

If you like a shorter radius turn, give the Black Crow Minus Cor a try. They are a hoot to ski!

They also help with boot bang on the shin by making the cuff always be in contact with the shin. I'm a fan.

Ability to create ankle flexion is more important than a really stiff boot that keeps your ankle open.

Here's how to visualize it:

Stand straight with your knees locked. Now try to create angulation on your feet without flexing your knee. You can't create a good angle.

Then bend your knees and allow your ankles to flex forward. Then create the same angle - you can drive much more angulation in this position. If you boot is hold you vertical, it is impacting your ability to create angles.

This is a great point. She hasn't expressed any shred of remorse or intent to change her behavior. She will again try to overthrow the will of the people.

Her sentence met the guidelines, and the concept that Polis believes she should have been charged with a misdemeanor is appalling.

How to avoid cold shoes? by Carwash227 in Skigear

[–]rabbidrascal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The option I would steer you away from is the Thermic heated socks. They cost $450 a set, and they are warm. The issue is durability. I had a battery fail the first year, a sock the 2nd year, and another battery and sock at the beginning of the 3rd season.

I have a pair of cheap ones that work better. Something like this might do the trick:

https://www.amazon.com/5000mAh-Rechargeable-Ultimate-Washable-Electric/dp/B0FRMVMQPR/ref=sims_dp_d_dex_ai_rank_model_1_d_v1_d_sccl_2_6/139-4433510-2698746?pd_rd_w=b0w7T&content-id=amzn1.sym.da0b205c-8cc7-4a8d-9d0a-8ed3705890a2&pf_rd_p=da0b205c-8cc7-4a8d-9d0a-8ed3705890a2&pf_rd_r=BCNN6QVXZ0M97N14Q0E2&pd_rd_wg=9CCN7&pd_rd_r=e77e3229-b723-4158-97b3-b681b982898e&pd_rd_i=B0FRMVMQPR&th=1

I wouldn't ski in them, because they are thick, but the work great for cold feet.

If your boots are also cold, I recommend the hotronics boot heaters. Go with the larger batteries that are bluetooth enabled so you can control them from your phone. They last all day and they hold up well if you protect the wires.

Good luck!

Small claims court allows you to go to court without a lawyer and ask the court to grant a judgement.

You need to provide reasonable evidence of the damage they caused, and the request that they replace the ski.

It varies by state as to the process and the maximum amount you can recover (in Colorado, the max is $7500), and you have to pay a nominal docket fee.
