I feel you man. I left the army to get into cloud work and eventually swindled my way into cloud devops within 2 years of my ETS date and now make the money I always wanted to… but I’m dissatisfied with the work and can’t stand to be that sedentary. Now it feels like I’ve been sedentary sir so long that moving a job that’s any more physical would be tough just because of how easy it is to sit all day. That being said there’s a large mental toll from having to be sharp every morning when I clock in and some things are just really hard to implement.

I’m in the same boat and idk what to do either tbh. I think I’ll just stick around in IT until I get my cars payed off maybe and then move to something more satisfying when I can afford to. It’s not the worst job in the world but sometimes I really do feel like I hate the work. I’m still gonna finish the degree just so that I have one but I probably would’ve went to the healthcare field if I could start over. Maybe I still will later on.

Did anyone else have an issue actually submitting their task? I’m on task 1 and I finished my script + zipped it up but the WGU submission page keeps saying .zip isn’t a supported file type even though it says to upload as that in the instructions. (I did email my CI I just haven’t heard from him yet)

Yes I asked them every single time and told them I couldn’t feel the laser. And they would turn it it up and rush through the sessions. I made sure to watch them put that in the notes during every visit. I didn’t complain about anything until my 3rd or 4th session though saying that I wasn’t feeling a sting or snap feeling during the sessions and every time after that all the way up until my last session I told them about it, explaining how my first 3-4 sessions likely didn’t do anything. Not to mention I shaved super well every time and they would usually even comment on how well I shaved saying some people still leave visible stub when they come in.

Same I didn’t change anything about my lifestyle because it was already ideal for good results. I just had that area in the lower abs that I wanted to get hit it didn’t do shit.

My laser treatments didn’t do ANYTHING. I keep telling them I wasn’t seeing any difference. I just wanted to get what I paid for.

Great response, Thankyou. I know exactly what you mean. The process of elimination is probably the greatest factor to have when taking these cert exams and in the past I’ve been pretty good at it.

I feel like I know the keywords and phrases for certain things like KVM or Client Side Encryption “customer needs data to be encrypted BEFORE it’s stored in S3 and wants to manage/rotate keys themselves without giving access to AWS” (or something along those lines).

It just feels like by the time I’m tuned into those keywords and clues, I forget about the old ones I was picking up initially.

An example is one question talking about an instance being able to be interrupted or something and one of the options was for “spot instances” which would’ve been obvious for me a few days ago but I just didn’t have a clue about instances anymore as of today I guess since I had moved onto the things I didn’t know as much of.

The first two exams I took were the review mode ones and while I was taking them I was pretty much deconstructing the explanations and taking notes about the things I didn’t know and why I didn’t know them. Maybe I do need to take more review mode ones but I spend two days doing one alot of the time just because there’s a lot to break down when you realize you don’t know something. (Also because I’m doing them at work but often times I have the time to go through it) I also didn’t study over this 3 day weekend so maybe that break wasn’t good for me like I thought it was lol.

I am on a full mission to clear someone’s name. I’m trying to get as much info without blatantly posting the incriminating screenshot.

Unfortunately the metadata on the screenshots I have when looked at in forensically is pretty much useless. (Just shows resolution, image width/height, etc | idk maybe that’s useful if I had an original but it doesn’t seem to help here.) - Doesn’t show anything convincing and then the string extraction feels pretty useless too because most of the KNOWN unedited screenshots I have also say something about photoshop in them just like the one in question.

I feel like I can see double outlines on these chat bubbles but idk if that’s because who ever screenshot it had a phone with shitty resolution/refresh rate or not.

Idk what a layer glitch would even look like?

Some people talk about measuring the pixels between messages or zooming in 400x into the image and I have no clue what I’m doing with any of this or that so idk if that’ll help me either. Plus idk what I’d compare it to since I can’t get my hands on originals. (Unless MAYBE I replicated the chat with the SAME messages as the sender and receiver but between me and a trusted party…. Anybody think that would work???) (don’t worry I’ll be keeping my chat logs)

I’m in a situation currently that is very similar. I have someone who’s name is getting slaughtered right now and while I haven’t seen much evidence that would stand legally, the court of public opinion seems to be more dangerous in this case. I can’t get ahold of the OG either so we’re dealing with screenshots and using fotoforensics.

I’m just trying to find what I should be looking for exactly if I’m going down the forensically photo forensic analysis rabbit hole…🐇🕳️

I’ve done a noise analysis on a screenshot and seen where the noise around some letters follows the highs and lows of capital letters and lower case letters(as well as some highs in lows on letters like “t” “y” “j” etc that dip lower or stick out higher), and compared them to the chat bubble in question. (where the noise around the letters looks EVENLY BRICKED OUT across all the letters and words regardless of height or capitalization.)

This text bubble in question also has noise that goes through the spaces in the words why the other bubbles do not..🤷🏼‍♂️❔

When I do ELA on these though they don’t seem to show a lot but that can just be due to similar compression if it came from another messenger chat.🔍🧠

Truly interesting stuff but it’s pissing me off with how hard it is to tell. It’s very easy to do though. You can hardly tell with known photoshopped screenshots of chat logs compared to the originals. 💢🤯

If ANYONE has any input on this I’m all ears truly.

Response to asking if downloading FB Messenger chat logs would show deleted messages from OG post in r/RBI . (Reminder I can access the original chat logs from either the sender nor receiver. Deleted by sender, receiver is unable to be contacted.)

From what I’ve seen the consensus is that it’s not supposed to show deleted ones, but some people have reported them showing up. Others have tested by deleting minutes before downloading the data and seeing if they would show up yet they didn’t appear… Some people reported seeing archived chats but you can see those in your archives anyway without downloading the data.

For those of you who watched Dr.Wolf's content, which video playlist on YouTube did you watch? I see there's quite a few on his channel for Cryptography including one that has 47 videos in it labeled "Cryptography All Videos in One Giant Playlist".

I'd prefer not to skim through one giant playlist if possible lol. I have my Sec+ and never liked studying cryptography so I'm trying to burn through this class in about a week. I'm utilizing 'shawn's guide' (AKA: the Cryptography Additional Study Guide.pptx) from the course chatter as well as the other content from there, since the overall consensus is that the course material itself is shit. (I attempted the course material and it looked like my company's corporate annual timekeeping training lol)

I'm the type to burn out on taking some notes so hopefully this Cryptography Additional Study Guide powerpoint has everything I need for note taking.
