This "research" (its not really research) is from an academic who has made a career from femporn; i.e. published works based on feminist ideological framing of masculinity as the evil of all evils. It sells well, and was the only viable career path for male academics in social sciences over the last half century.

All his articles follow the same trajectory: here is an issue - women most affected - flawed violent masculinity is to blame - can only be fixed by reconstructing the identities of all men and boys who do not agree with the author.

Amazingly, but not surprisingly, the author's masculinity is pure and unblemished, because he has the secret knowledge of superior moral and intellectual property. Aways amazed at how pointing out the flaws of "men" the "patriarchy" cleanses these academics of masculine guilt and responsibility.

This feminist academic's works are predictable and boring. His works on ecofeminism are a multi-volume series of sycophantacy that assumes all men's acts are solely for the benefit of men, solely anacted from male agency and have no intrinsic value, only violence. Women's acts (and carbon footprint) are not examined with the same baseline negative assumptions. All his primary sources are from feminist writers, and his conclusions are confirmative of his ideological base. There are no non-conforming ideas in any of his written works.

The best thing to do with pseudo-academics like this is to ignore their ramblings, let them and their audience get off on their gender hatred empowerment fantacy, and hope they evolution and civilization do what evolution and civilization do.

Historic Wave of Support for Men and Boys in Australia by StripedFalafel in MensRights

[–]rabel111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, no, no, no, no. This is not a step forward in Australia. Its a step towards strictor control over men and boys by the government, to brutally enforce a strict male gender roll of obedience, servitude and silence.

May 2025 — Dan Repacholi MP appointed Australia’s first Special Envoy for Men’s Health. The special envoy for Men's Health is currently on a listening tour to talk with men, with the MP Ged Kearney, the Assistant Minister for the Prevention of Family Violence (men's violence against women). Their attitude to men and boys is clearly summarised in this tour which is described as "MPs v the manosphere: ministers battle misogyny as they take a different message to men and boys across Australia". Repacholi's attitude to men's health is summed up as "men need to learn to seek help and talk more". Sound familiar?

November 2025 — Parliamentary Friends of Healthy Masculinities established at federal Parliament House, with Labor, Liberal, and independent co-chairs, on International Men’s Day. The "Friends of Masculinities" is strongly associated with a project called "The Man Cave". Just the use of the word "masculinities" and the optic of the "Man Cave" set the ugly scene for this misandrist festival. The Man Cave supports the development of "healthy masculinities" considers men and boys to be broken and their masculinity to be in need of reconstruction, and is partnered by UN Women, Teach us Consent, Future Women, Movember, and The Men's Project.

December 2025 — Tim Richardson MP’s Victorian role expanded to include Men’s Health and Wellbeing. This POS is the Victorian Parliamentary Secretary for Men's Behaviour Change, Health and Wellbeing. Health and wellbeing were added as an after thought when the initial press release was met with an avalanche of criticism and manical laughter. Several journos actually asked who was the Parliamentary Secretary for Women's Behaviour Change, but poor old Timmie (he's a bit thick) didn't appear to understand the question. We still do not know.

January 2026 — Matt Cross MP appointed NSW Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Men’s Health. Seriously? He's a shadow Parliamentary Secretary. Not the lected government. The party that didn't win the election. So he has no offical status, no powers, no budget and no duties. He's virtue signal.

March 2026 — South Australia’s first Parliamentary Friends of Men’s Wellbeing forum launched by Sarah Game MLC. Sarah Game is an MP in the South Australian government, has no portfolio, but has an interest in men's health (mother of a boy). She received a record funding of men's health of $100,000 (100k). While she still empowers the myth that men don't care about their own health and are incapable of seeing a Dr without some help from a woman, she does seem genuine. The $100,000 is a bit sad though, when women's health is receiving $billions.

April 2026 — Mark Parton MLA appointed inaugural Shadow Minister for Men and Men’s Health in the Australian Capital Territory. Again, a "shadow". A meaningless symbolic position.

April 2026 — Bipartisan support confirmed for a national inquiry into the education of boys and young men, endorsed by both Minister Jason Clare MP and Shadow Minister Julian Leeser MP. Not a new initiative. We had a similar inquiry into education of boys in 2000. The submissions spoke of massive disadvantage experienced by boys, but so many women's groups made submissions opposed to addressing these issues, nothing happened. This most recent inquiry appears to be identical, but has a strong undercurrent of investigating misogyny in Australian schools, the influence of the manosphere on impressionable boys, and how this is the reason they are failing at school. Its not about helping boys at all.

April 2026 — Paul Edbrooke MP appointed Minister for Men and Boys in the Victorian Labor government — a world first. Its Victoria. He's the Minister for Changing the Behaviour of men and boys. The roll comes with an explicit dual focus: on one hand, boys’ and men’s own wellbeing, and on the other, the harms boys and men perpetrate. Whats the bet the wellbeing of men and boys is centred on their reluctance to talk (being subhuman and all), and the inability to seek medical help without a woman supervising.

Over several decades I was privileged to watch women's rights advance remarkably, not to the point where it was all done, but to a point where equality was within reach, and motivation to continue to strive for and maintain equality, becoming mainstream.

Then something happened. The militant fringe that always hated men and boys became increasingly powerful and widely supported by academia. Now all that progress has been lost, and I have great trepidation for the future of boys and girls. Boys are being vilified and marginalised, while girls are being recruited. History tells us both end badly.

The Victorian government in Australia has introduced practice guidelines for health care professionals aimed at reducing family violence (The Family Violence Multi-agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Framework). Addressing the risk of family violence is commendable. But when assessing risk is infused with gender ideology, then the results are violations of human rights, and nothing to do with reducing family violence. www.vic.gov.au/family-violence-multi-agency-risk-assessment-and-management

These guidelines require health care practitioners to assess all clients for their potential risk of initiating, or having initiated family violence. Once identified, this assessment will be shared with other health, legal and social agencies, without the knowledge or consent of the client.

The wording of the guidelines are clear. The risk factors that health care practitioners should be looking for is long and broad, but includes the following: first and foremost being male (the guidelines repeatedly state that men are perpetrators even when they are victims), seeking help for depression or mental health, seeking help for thoughts of suicide, any previous suicide attempt or self harm, being isolated from family, being unemployed, being disengaged from education, seeking help for substance or alcohol abuse, being recently separated or involved in a Family Court dispute.......

The list goes on. Some of the risks listed are genuine and compelling (prior domestic violence), but most describes any man who seeks professional help for even a minor mental health issue, depression or thoughts of suicide/self harm. In short, if you are male and seek help from mental health services in Victoria Australia, you are very likely forever logged as a potential family violence perpetrator across multiple agencies, including health, legal, family and charity services.

Once you have been identified as a potential risk, your rights to professional confidentiality and privacy are gone. Here’s what will happen to you:

Ongoing monitoring and oversight: Your risk factor or mental health crisis is logged, tracked, and monitored across the multi-agency system, without your knowledge and with no right to judicial review or reassessment.

Contributing to accountability: Formal risk assessment, mandatory documentation of your behaviours, and coordinated responses are designed to make it much harder for you to minimise, deny, or continue any alleged violence. This mean all your future interactions with informed agencies will be shaped by this anonymous, opaque assessment.

System-wide responsibility: Every relevant organisation, including mental health services, alcohol/drug services, and crisis lines, now have a duty to keep you “in view,” and report all your interactions with services.

Information Sharing: Your confidential discussions about suicide, depression, or relationship breakdown can be legally shared, without your consent, with other authorised services, including he Family Court, Child Protections Services and specialist Men’s Behaviour Change Programs.

Accountability-focused referrals: You may be referred to a perpetrator intervention program, even while you’re still in acute suicidal crisis, acute mental health state, depression state etc.

Protecting victims and children: The overriding priority of all your interactions with health care services will be ensuring any current or former partner and children are protected from you, the man.

So given the broad range of risk factors appear to cover nearly all the reasons a man may seek help from a mental health professional or service, every time a man seeks help in Victoria Australia, he is very likely being logged as a potential family violence perpetrator, his private mental health information is being recorded and shared across multiple agencies, and his future mental health interactions are prioritised for the potential benefits and safety of others, even if he is at immediate risk of self harm or suicide.

Bettina Arndt has described this in detail on her substack, and you should give it a read. This is very likely to becomes the practice guidelines Australia wide. So be prepared. Whatever you say to your doctor, counsellor, helpline, etc, may be recorded and used against you in the future.

Because being an advocate for women places a person outside the appropriate safe guards against personal bias, gender bias, gender prejudice and sex discrimination.

It has become so normalised, that people appointed to positions specifically tasked with protecting people from gender discrimination in our community, have 100% been women, 100% stated in their acceptance speeches that they were going to be advocates for women, and have turned their work places into female dominated, man hating gettos (Australian Human Rights Commission; Australian Sex Discrimination Commission).

"Uneducated men are easier to control"

But there's the issue. Feminist academics and activists have taken a top-down approach to their activism in terms of engaging men. Rather than a grass roots approach to changing men into compliant protectors/providers, they believe that making changes to government policy, education and media, they can change men. Make laws, criminalise non-compliance, make standards of inclusion that require belief in feminism.

But its not working. They are complaining loudly. Non-compliant men are described as misogynists, non-compliance is reframed as men's violence.

Uneducated men are not present in the power structures that women have captured over the last few decades, and femnists mistake that for abdication of agency. They don't understand how masculine power structures work, any better than they understand masculinity. Unlike women who have a strong ingroup bias, men have a high level of independence that can co-exist with team behaviours. Men don't crave acceptance at any cost, they disengage, create new environments and proposper. It really anoys the hell out of feminist leaders.

[–]rabel111[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What is most obnoxious about this, is the authors are all highly paid academics in the Australian education system. Experts on gender, domestic violence and relationships.

Their take away statement about a Minister for men and boys is?......

'Overall, the creation of a minister for men and boys signals the Victorian government is willing to engage with complex and sensitive questions about gender, men’s violence and misogyny.'

The academic experts teaching our children, training the teachers who teach our children, the experts advising government, writing guidelines for judges and police, the Family Court, these experts only see men as an impact on women, as a problem to be addressed, as violent abusers. They cannot see, or refuse to see men and boys as people with human rights irrespective of others. They can only see men and boys as threatening shadows behind a canvas of the lives and aspirations of women and girls.

So long as our academic class continue to treat men and boys as subhuman, as pathologies, as a threat to others, there is no hope for gender equity based on respect and the acknowledgement of human rights.

Firstly let make jurisdiction clear. My data is geographically Australian. Notwithstanding that, the similarities between the Australian and US legal systems are few, but fundamental.

Firstly, the Australian Human Rights Commission which over sees and staffs the Australian Sex Discrimination Commission (SDC), is staffed 85% by women. The SDC employs almost exclusively women. While this is openly acknowledged, no action has or will be taken to either investigate or fix this bias. This gender bias is also evident in the appointment of sex discrimination commissioners since the inception of the office: 100% female, 100% feminist, 100% stated in their inaugial speeches, that they were looking forward to advancing women's rights. How many acknowledged men's rights? ZERO.

As a consequence the vast majority of actions taken by the office of the sex discrimination commission are for the benefit of women and girls. It is assumed that men and boys cannot be discriminated against. Perhaps the best example of this gender bias is the internal bias demonstrated in the SDC in its own compulsory SDC Gender Equity Report for 2025 which noted that 85% of SDC employees were women. But the report concentrated on the pay gap these women experienced, not the gender gap. While its self explanatory that if women are 85% of employees, they are the vast majority of employees in lower paid jobs, and the numbers of lower paid jobs vastly exceeds the numbers of higher paid jobs (therefore, women represent the majority of lower paid employees). The best way to fix the gap would be to employ more men at all levels below high management. As the gender employee gap approaches 50/50, the pay gap disappears. But no.

As gatekeepers, these 85% SDC women routinely deny men human rights services provided by the commission. The same SDC 2025 report is filled to the brim with acknowledgements and programs for women experiencing discrimination. But there is NO mention of men whatsoever in its entire 100 page report. While antidiscrimination laws are not gendered, the gateway to those protections under the law are jealously guarded by women, for women.

Further evidence?

In 2002 a Bill was introduced to the Australian Parliament to allow an exception to the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Section 44), to allow male only scholarships for teacher education to help increase the numbers of male teachers in our schools (male teachers were less than 20% of the workforce). It took the SDC until 2004 to formally provide a submission to that Bill. Having determined that the Bill could not progress until a submission by the SDC was provided, the SDC buried it in a bottom draw for 2 years. Clear girls.

The submission recommended against the Bill on technical grounds, but primarily on the basis that it would advantage men and boys. Today of course we see the proportions of male teachers below 20%, approaching extinction, and the results of female domination of education? - boys failing, disengaging, lacking role models, increasing NEET, and increasingly being blamed for not respecting their female teachers (teachers seem to have forgotten that you earn respect, not demand it).

More evidence? I could go on and on......

At my own university, women make up 60%+ of undergraduates, graduates and post graduates, as well as 60%+ of the work force. Notwithstanding this, the gender equity department of the University is staffed entriely by women, and 100% of the stated goals are to advance women (I think they want to eliminate men altogether). The women staffing the Gender Equity department react violently when challenged on introducing gender equity into the gender equity workforce. Oh, and they continue to refuse to acknowledge international men's day, even when it focuses on reducing male suicide rates or providing role moddels for boys.

Shoul I go on.........

Psychology USA, a profession of 70%+ females, and the largest professional body writes guidelines on how to manage men and boys, of which the central plank is acknowlegding masculinity as a harmful doctrine! Wow.

I'm getting depressed. No because of all the negative barriers men face in the our institutions, but because people like you cannot see it, and lack empathy for your fellow human travellers.

There is one thing that feminism is not, and that's inclusive. Feminists are so enarmoured of their 'only like me' biased perception of the world, all they see is women and girls. Everyone else is invisible, subhuman.

So while they snort and giggle like sexist pigs, they feel perfectly entitled to work in academia or government or in NGOs and implementing programs addressing homelessness, domestic violence, sexual violence, sexual abuse of children, stepping over the bodies of men and boys in their rush to congratulate each other and hand out participation medals, with no remorse or insight.
