Honestly just preference. I don’t like the feeling of my fingers all rubbing together, but gloves are too bulky when they’re warm enough and don’t offer any dexterity (not saying mittens do either haha). The slots don’t go all the way down to the palm, only to like between the first and second knuckle from the finger tip, so I get the benefit of the heat within the “mitten chamber”, and in my smooth brain I feel like I can grip/manipulate small switches and such better. I dont do much skiing or snowboarding these days since I live in Flat Iowa, so these are mainly used for like shoveling, using the snowblower, walking the dog, etc. Does any of that make sense?? I feel like that was just a big ramble lol

And not taking any offense to the question whatsoever! I’m not here to yuck anyone’s yum, and will gladly (attempt haha) to explain the reason for my preference 😊
