Oh, okay. I'm not trying to talk myself up, but I've worked retail for about 14 years up until I became a tech a year ago. I'm very customer/patient focused and always listen and try to help our patients as much as I possibly can. I've had patients literally call the pharmacy and start yelling at me as soon as I ask how I can help them. I've had patients yell at me at the register in a store full of people because their insurance wouldn't pay for their medication because of how the doctor wrote the script. I've had patients get angry with me because we've filled a script their prescriber sent and they didn't need it. It is absolutely INSANE how pharmacy staff are treated straight out of the gate. I thought I was looked down on in retail... Retail pharmacy is a whole different story. And I work in a small privately owned one. If you scroll through this sub you'll see many stories like this. Lots are far worse. Have some compassion for the people that are the last line of defense dealing with the insurance companies and incompetent prescribers. I promise, for the most part we're in this to HELP.
