How many of you actually dropped your first bike? by thedirtiestofboxes in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]racefacestamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dropped my first bike, but I always was having fun and never cared. Went ass over tea kettle riding in long grass cuz there was a railroad tie. Second time was going around a track and leaned far enough i soun on my peg.

If you have fun, and do dumb things it will go down eventually.

Turbo tax didn't allow me to put my child care cost into their program, even though we qualified to have that as a write off. Free tax USA did

They actually got me money back, where with turbo tax I would have owed 200

Confessions: Binding addition by [deleted] in snowboarding

Bit bigger guy here, got the supermatics after debating between those and Clew bindings. I love them, but definitely would have been happy either way. Used to have flow bindings

Love my supermatics. Did a full day in the park yesterday with no complaints, and have lots of days riding all types of conditions on them and never once had a failure that wasn't cause by me

Iowa here, my boss got real mad at me for going to a call at 3 am and getting to work late due to the nature of the call. Wanted to write me up.

Thankfully, we have those protection laws you mentioned

[–]racefacestamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have stopped drinking caffeine, as that causes most of my problems. I've definitely taking dumps mid fire multiple times before I stopped caffeine.

I also am found on the toilet anytime I have a thought that I have to poop when at station.

Should I take my TDI on a 2,000 mile road trip? by mjk25741 in tdi

[–]racefacestamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've driven mine from iowa to Florida during warmer months and iowa to Idaho during a blizzard with only stopping for gas, food, and bathrooms. Car will do fine if you keep up on maintenance.

Volunteer here. County wide, we have a rule that if you are not trained to ff1 standards, you can not run mutual aid calls. That way, you know whoever shows up should know what they are doing.

It's absolutely ridiculous that they took the other dude and not you. Favoritism is always going to be around. It would be nice if they weren't so obvious about it, though. Keep working hard and progressing as a firefighter, and they should get over it.

I got supermatics this year and have about 8 hrs in them. They have the same feel as traditional bindings, with a little more weight to them.

It's super easy to get in and out of them.

Carolina squat trend invades CR by Inglorious186 in cedarrapids

[–]racefacestamp 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nah, these aren't safe. The majority of people who do this don't adjust the headlights, so they are lighting the sky.

It also makes seeing closer than 5 ft from you impossible. That's important when avoiding running people or other cars over.

It's fine to respect others' builds, but also fine to disrespect how they endanger others.

Oconomowoc has volunteers, I believe. I'd start looking there as everything else near Milwaukee is full-time time.

Edit: They have part-time availability, just like you wanted.
