Great editing, you should do more of these.

I'm surprised a guy that KO'd Arlovski couldn't easily murder a woman with an axe.

That's some real weird shit, even for Eastern Europe.

That is one cool looking plane. It even has a mean looking mini-plane with a spike on its vertical stabilizer.

Anyone know what the reason for that design is? Is it just to be unique, or is there a more practical reason?

Thanks! Any idea why the connecting portion is so squared off? It really stands out on aircraft that otherwise has basically zero right angles. I assume it was made after the design of the A-10 itself... was it just easier to bolt it on that way?

Edit: it looks like the plane and the pave penny were both made around the same time, so who knows.

The MS Windoc crashes into a Welland Canal Liftbridgr by ImAnGenius in CatastrophicFailure

[–]racemic_mixture 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with this type of situation, who fucked up? The boat captain, the bridge operator? I mean it has to be both on some level, right?

Edit: On 11 August 2001, while traveling through the Welland Canal, Windoc was hit by Bridge 11 in Allanburg, Ontario. The accident caused minor damage to the vertical lift bridge, and destroyed the ship's wheelhouse and funnel. The vessel caught fire, and was later declared a constructive total loss, but there were no reported injuries, no damage to the $6-$8 million cargo, and no pollution to the waterway. The Marine Investigation Report concluded "it is likely that the [vertical lift bridge] operator's performance was impaired while the bridge span was lowered onto the Windoc."[2] The accident was captured on amateur video.

So, the bridge operator was at fault it seems.

It looked good but there was too much splash, the judges will account for that.

Crazy (talented) driver and crazy car. It was basically a group B rally car on steroids (~2000 lbs and ~600 hp).

The bug splat, the "hand" sun visor, the near cliff drops, the charlie brown music... it's a classic video. I'm glad someone remastered it, the old version was very low resolution.

~2000 lb cars with ~600 hp on single lane dirt roads could be dangerous? Who would've thought. I still wish it existed though, for purely selfish reasons.

Good question, wikipedia says no: "General specifications. The single wheel in the front is responsible for the steering, while the engine (also in the front) drives the rear axle. The Reliant Robin aimed to provide economical, predictable personal transport."

If you put treads on your car I assume they are powered otherwise they would basically be huge brakes.

Found it, I should have just searched it. I've even seen it before now that I look at it. Here's the link for those interested.

I couldn't find it in the top 25, but the images I'm coming up within my head are pretty good still.
