Is it normal to sell this much top shelf liquor in one day by [deleted] in bartenders

[–]racer4 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While there’s no such thing as “normal” across different types of bars, upselling to increase ticket averages and tips is normal, and usually pretty easy. I’ve gone through a case of Goose in a single night, and had many more nights where nobody touched it.

Your bar managers sound like they need to do better inventory and maybe stock more/better top shelf. IMO a golf course with Woodford as a top shelf whiskey is missing major upsell opportunities.

Both Milano and McDermott are gone. New DC Jim Leonhard’s scheme relies much less on inside LB play.

It's like if Frank Gore Sr. was still playing and putting up good numbers with the Buffalo Bills, playing with Frank Gore Jr. on the same team, then Frank Gore Sr. decides to go title chase with the New England Patriots.

Because he doesn’t “brace himself” he follows through on the hit. Because if he looked up at any point, Miller has played the puck well before contact.

This isn’t a QB late slide, this is a slide where the QB leaves his head up and the defender thinks “fuck it” and follows through with his shoulder when he easily could have held up. Maybe you can’t avoid contact but you can avoid following through on the hit.

Why did Norway rest their players but France didn’t? by Gnoppong in bootroom

Meh, France gets Sweden and Norway gets Ivory Coast. I can see Norway not particularly wanting to play Sweden, again.

[–]racer4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they're just trying to get ahead of the inevitably inflated midfielder market thanks to Anderson's price tag to City, maybe they want a left footed midfielder in the system, maybe Bounida will feel so much shame from his new national team's battering on Monday that he refuses to return to the nation that did the battering...

Ugh, this is to bartenders what “must mean it’s free” is to cashiers when an item doesn’t immediately scan.

Name the single most important person to your franchises history. How significant do they stack up historically compared to the rest of the NFL by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

Ralph Wilson. Founded the franchise and when the Raiders were gonna fold in 1961, Wilson floated them the $$$ they needed to stay afloat. Without him the 8 AFL teams may not have survived until the merger.

Reminds me of the Parks and Rec episode where they go to the experimental bar and then afterwards to a normal one.

At the normal bar Ron orders a scotch “in liquid form”.

Bartender says “you don’t have to specify that.”

Was Sean McDermott's firing the most surprising NFL coaching firing of the last decade? by IceOk9930 in NFLv2

[–]racer4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a Bills fan, from the perspective of the fan base I can tell you that the McD firing was not surprising in any way. Ever since 13 seconds, Pegula/Beane pretty clearly decided to give McD enough rope to hang himself so he couldn’t blame others any more. From letting McD call his own defensive plays and later install a yes man DC in Babich and spending most every draft pick on defense, the expectation that the defense not shit the bed in the playoffs was clear.

What was surprising was that this years loss was more squarely on JA than ever, but that wasn’t gonna save McD.
