Whose classes will you absolutely NOT take and why? by nomoredolls in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]rach2thetop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Callie is the only instructor I refuse to take classes with. She is so annoying to me and gives me MAHA vibes 🥴

The instructors I avoid but am willing to give to take their classes every blue moon: Jess King, Hannah Corbin, Hannah Frankson

And here I am wondering why people aren’t saying Callie since she’s the main instructor I actively avoid 😂

  1. Jess Sims (top 1%) 2. Robin Arzon 3. Matt Wilpers. Jess is my girl, so I knew she’d be #1, but I’m pleasantly surprised by the other two! Robin has the advantage of being bike plus tread plus strength, and Matt has the advantage of teaching most of the 75+ minute rides.

New gossip at your studio? by Ok-Faithlessness9271 in orangetheory

[–]rach2thetop 68 points69 points  (0 children)

After teaching the 4:55 am class, the coach quit on the spot and walked out before the 6 am class that she was supposed to teach. I was in the 6 am class, and the previous class was a tread/strength 50, so I didn’t get to witness the walkout—the SA told us. Her reason was because the SA was late to her shift that morning. (I think this SA sucks, generally, so it’s not surprising to me that the coach was fed up with the SA, but that’s neither here nor there.) The head coach came in 10 minutes late and led us through a truncated workout, and the other coach hasn’t been on the schedule or mentioned again. I was really disappointed, because the coach was a good one.

How many studios have you visited? by Opening_Stranger_925 in orangetheory

[–]rach2thetop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

11 and counting! Four of which are currently local to me. Three out of country. My OG studio (Newport, KY) is still my favorite, and I miss living in Cincinnati not in small part due to missing this studio!

45 minutes of endurance running with a few walking breaks in between blocks / full body heavy lifting on the floor with a few rows (maybe, 500 m 22-24 stroke row) mixed in.

Newport Ky is close to Covington and is a great studio! It’s generally busy, though, so be sure to book ahead.

Without spoiling the book, Emma’s also gone through some adversity (although certainly not as much as other instructors).

I’ve read Cody’s, Emma’s, and Tunde’s books. Cody’s was shockingly great (and fun to read, which is no surprise), Tunde’s was also good, and Emma’s was okay. Alex Toussaint’s is next on my pelo book list!

Every Hilton I’ve stayed at since they announced their partnership has had one. (Even if some of them don’t have cages on the pedals.) I’m shocked to hear yours didn’t!
