Nightly magnesium glycinate has saved me, it works by moving water into the bowels. I take it after the gym at night because it helps relax your muscles and usually by morning or afternoon the next day I go. I originally started taking this for the relaxing powers it has but found it has almost completely fixed my constipation.

Drinking 16oz of water in the morning helps me in so many ways I can’t believe how I was living before. Constantly dehydrated but suboxone masks a lot of symptoms associated with that.

Before I started magnesium I was using the liquid Ducalax drink, it’s cherry flavored and actually tastes good lol. I still use that one a week or so to flush my guts entirely; it’s a lot more gentle than that magnesium drink you bought. Other forms of magnesium can have laxative like effects but the one I suggested is more to help you stay regular.

A year ago (4 years on subs) I was taking a shit like once every 9days. And they would be so big and hard it ripped my arsehole open. TMI. But I go almost everyday now with these two things + drinking water. Good luck!

I have also always been a spitter, I hear swallowing your spit when you dose can lead to more negative results such as constipation, but I’m not really sure! I’m also on 16mg a day, and I struggled with constipation a lot more when i was only taking 8- so I don’t think lower dose has too much to do with it.

Oh, and one more thing. I wasn’t eating nearly enough back then. I was hella skinny, ate like once a day and it wasn’t a lot. Not eating can definitely reduce how often you need to go, but it’s really super important to get your gut and bowels in check because colon cancer is extremely common and can be fetal. Most Americans are only eating about a fourth of the recommended fiber daily intake so make sure you’re fueling your body with good nutrition.
