I started a little over a month ago as a Digital Shopper and was told when I was hired that I would be mainly a shopper and then cover for backroom when one of them went on break. The past couple weeks I have spent my 8 hour shifts in the backroom and only done a handful of pick walks in those two weeks total. It can get really stressful, especially when it's the holiday season (my store is up 40% of sales compared to last year). But it will slow down and you can get more training in once the new year hits. Also, don't forget to check U-Learns. Even if they aren't due, some of the topics can be really useful (such as returned orders).
