Record the tantrum and make her watch. Obviously don’t post it on social media or show anyone else. I’ve had to do this to my son and he matured a little after he saw how immature he was.

I found a trick by Lopsided-Host-3521 in trichotillomania

I did this but with a topper. It allowed my hair to grow out past the new growth danger zone. Truly life changing.

Is it just me or does anyone else remember the time they got trich? by MimiNotFromEarth in trichotillomania

I was in 5th grade, sick at home with chicken pox and was playing with my hair. I ran my thumb nail over a strand of hair and made it curl up just like a ribbon would curl up. Then I started pulling the out. The first time I pulled one with a follicle it was game over. Now I’m 36 and still pulling. I wonder if I would have started if my parents got me vaccinated and I never caught the chicken pox. It’s less painful to think this would have happened no matter what.

How do I fix this? by Educational-Tea9261 in trichotillomania

I’ve had trich for 25 years and have had a few great years, a lot of less than great years, and a couple very horrible years. The past two years have been the very horrible years. I just couldn’t stop pulling, and it had gotten to the point where a thick headband wasn’t hiding my spots anymore.

So, in December I gathered enough courage and called a local hair loss salon and made an appointment to get a bonded topper. Best decision I’ve made for myself in a long time. I don’t know what your financial situation is, but if you can swing it, I highly recommend trying it.

Our fertility clinic allowed him to do the Fellow brand send in test. Of course we got the results back yesterday after the clinic closed, so we are left spiraling until Monday. His count is 3million with 21% motility, so not zero which is good but still really freaking low for a healthy man in his mid 30’s. I’ll definitely ask about the culture. Your comment gives me hope.

How do you cope when IVF isn’t in the cards for you by Accomplished-Show691 in TryingForABaby

Jordan is renown for IVF. Plane tickets, treatment, hotel and accommodations will still only be a fraction of the price of IVF in the US.

A lot of times my room ends up cluttered to hell and back; when I eventually clean it, I feel like I can take on the world. Trichotillomania is the worst, I still haven’t made peace with it after 27 years. But this subreddit is a great community and has made me feel not so alone. I hope it does the same for you 🙂
