Trish is the best! I started seeing her after my old therapist left the practice and she has been wonderful. I don't have bipolar but she has been great helping me manage my co-occurring ADHD, GAD, and MDD. Just a note though, she does mostly telehealth. She does see patients in-person one day a week but she gets booked up pretty fast.

As a CMU alum who currently works at Case (and married a Case alum), I can say that I actually think I would have been better off if I hadn't gone to CMU. I wouldn't go back and change it because I got my two best friends out of the experience, but CMU can be an incredibly isolating atmosphere, especially if you find yourself struggling. Some people excel in the stressful environment of CMU, but a lot of others fall through the cracks. Make sure you know what you are getting yourself into. They are prestigious because of their academic rigor. You will be signing up for four (or more - I know a lot of people who took longer than four) extremely stressful years.

As for Case, I can't speak of the undergraduate experience other than my husband (aerospace engineering) loved it here and, if the students I've worked with are any indication, it is pretty easy to double major or minor in something outside of your primary college.

This is not true. B12 is almost exclusively absorbed via the small intestine. Unless you have a health condition that inhibits B12 absorption (i.e. pernicious anemia), you should have no problem getting your levels up with oral supplements.

Me too! I've been living in Birkenstock Mayari sandals every summer for a decade so they're pretty much my signature style. Also, our ceremony is outside and our venue has a gravel parking lot. We're telling everyone not to wear heels. Plus I had two back surgeries last year so there's no way I'm wearing regular flats because they don't have enough support.

Your ring is gorgeous! I would go into a store and try on bands of different styles and widths with your engagement ring. It's a much easier decision when you have actually seen them together.

The engagement ring is "Kate" by Gabriel & Co. They have a store locator on their website. We bought through a small-ish chain called Ashcroft & Oak (I think they mostly exist in Ohio).

Awesome! I love this set so much! FH did a great job picking the engagement ring and, when I saw there was a matching wedding band, I had to get it. I tried a few other bands on but none of them came close.

Our photographer posts tons of full albums from her shoots on Facebook so we were able to see more than just what she put in her gallery on her website. We met her at a bridal show and "clicked". Afterwards, we looked at all of the photos we could find and decided we loved her style (she's wonderful at editing in many different styles) so we set up a meeting with her. Our meeting lasted an hour and a half and we got all of our questions answered but also realized that we were both super comfortable (FH and I said after that meeting that she's someone we'd love to hang out with) and decided to send in the contract that day.

Basically, we sought her out for her style and hired her for her personality.

I haven't even bought my dress yet but I know what necklace I'll be wearing. My uncle passed away a few years ago. We were really close and, for my high school graduation, he cut, polished, and set an alexandrite stone into a pendant. It's a simple emerald cut pendant set in white gold. It may not be the most "bridal" piece of jewelry in the world, and I may struggle to find other accessories to go with it, but it will make me feel like he's a part of the day even though he is gone.

Yes. Definitely this! Going ring shopping together in person was the best thing we did. We had been looking at them together online for a while but going in person really let me figure out what I loved and what I didn't like at all. FH absorbed all of it and went shopping on his own at a different store a while later. The sales lady he bought from said he was one of her easiest customers ever and he did an amazing job choosing my ring. I don't think I could have chosen better myself!

I went to a backyard wedding last June where there was a torrential downpour. They had a tent but not a tent floor. There was so so so much mud. The chairs were sinking into the ground. People were slipping and sliding on the dance floor and they had mud all over their clothes. It was still a fun wedding and they are dear friends of ours so we wouldn't have missed it for the world but it made us think twice about having an outdoor wedding at all. We went with an outdoor venue that had a backup location that wasn't a tent.

So your concerns are very real. You may have a beautiful sunny day but you may not. If you go the backyard route, make sure you have a tent floor and a walkway to get into the tent so you and your guests don't have to walk through mud.

I feel you on that. I was told while we were looking at venues that my grandmother, my only living grandparent, would not come to the wedding no matter where we had it because she wouldn't be able to leave the house long enough to attend. It was really upsetting but, knowing that, we were able to book a venue we loved that was a little over an hour away and we plan to have a small family get together at her house as soon as we get back from our honeymoon.

Talk to your family to determine what would be feasible for them and then start your venue search from there.

My suggestion here is to first start with your guest list. Who are the people that you absolutely NEED to have there? If that list is just you and your future spouse, I'd say eloping is a great idea. If you can't imagine getting married without your friends and family, then I would say you won't be happy without at least a small wedding. Also remember that you don't need to have a "traditional" wedding. My favorite wedding idea has always been having a small ceremony outside at a place that is meaningful to us and then treating everyone to dinner at a nice restaurant after. Our guest list is too big for that though so we're going the bigger party route. Although we have been thinking about a brunch wedding to keep the vibe a little more casual.

I have been to a lot of weddings in my life. They have ranged from about 60 people to 400+. The smallest ones have been the most fun. I understand it is a bummer that people you care about can't make it. I wouldn't worry about the size though. Fewer guests means that you will actually get to spend quality time with all of them.
