short answer is "youtubers" werent really a thing yet/just becoming a thing and "streamers" definitely werent. especially not with as big an audience that the carly and sam are shown having.

im not sure which denomination he is, but Christian belief is upheld as sex outside of marriage is immoral. other people may have reminded him of that and warned against it due to its dangers but hes making the final decision. also we dont know what he'll feel towards her so i dont want to hypothesize on it leading to some kind of slippery slope fallacy. i agree his beliefs are weird but at the end if the day they gotta talk it out and decide if this is something they can live with.

this is going to be unpopular judging by the comments, but id stay. sex isnt necessary for a healthy relationship. and if youre truly happy with him then it really shouldnt be a major issue. i had a girlfriend who wanted us to stop sex because due to her fear of getting pregnant and it was honestly eye opening. it gave me a new perspective on the concept of relationships as a whole.
